The Auditorium is perfect for speaker panels, conferences, banquets, meetings, lectures, expos and more. The recently refinished original Douglas Fir floor and vintage chalkboards give it a unique character that people are sure to appreciate. The space itself is 33' x 40.5', and has a raised performance stage (33' wide x 13.5' deep x 18" height) and has a capacity to fit 50 people. The space is also located next to a restroom. Amenities include: - Theater LED lighting grid - 50 folding chairs - blackout theater curtains & private stage exit (no built-in chairs) - LCD projector ($50/use), standing or wall screens ($10/use) - Sound system ($50/use), stage lights ($50/use) - Standard upright piano ($10/use) - 50 Chairs + Tables Here's the Setup/Breakdown fee (sliding scale) for auditorium: 1 – 15 items $15.00 16 – 25 items $25.00 26 – 40 items $40.00 41 - 75 items $50.00 75+ items $75.00 All rates listed are hourly: Mon - Fri, 9am - 6pm: $80 Mon - Fri, 6pm - 10pm: $80 Sat, 9am - 2pm: $80 Sun, 10am - 6pm: $80 We also offer many amenities at no cost, including podium, sound system just for music, chairs, tables, and WiFi. If cost is a barrier, please let us know upon rental request and we can do our best to accommodate you. Just outside the Auditorium, there is a bar that can be set up for concessions and drinks for performances. Our center itself is a large building built in 1902, and today it operates as a non-profit promoting life-long learning, creativity, culture, community activism, and the preservation of our historic building. It is located in the heart of University District, 10 minutes away from the University of Washington by foot. The center has a parking lot with free parking as well as street parking on the perimeter.

The space was very charming and the building is beautiful but unfortunately it didn't end up working out for our team meeting due to our teams size and parking. Other than that, Olena is very kind and helpful!

This space was great! Olena and the rest of the University Heights staff were a breeze to work with - they allowed me a lot of time in the space before the event to take measurements and were very accommodating about decoration ideas. PA/sound maxed out before we would've liked for our dance floor, but we didn't want to blow any speakers. Overall, great space with ample parking just outside the door - everyone had a blast.

It was a great deal with the space. Olena was a pleasure to coordinate with. The setting up wasn’t quite complete and the sound system needs to be tested for some noise and sudden cutting out issues. Would have been helped by sound person being there throughout. But overall, great experience and would definitely do it again!
