Ruvi L. booked a video shoot for 20 people
Maria was an incredible host and her home worked out perfectly for our shoot. I would definitely shoot here again.
Devyn I. booked a video shoot for 30 people
Filming at Maria's house was a dream come true. I've produced a lot of projects filmed in homes. It is always a challenge. We are invading someone else's personal space and imposing on their lives, which can (totally understandably) put people on edge. Maria and Robert were the most accommodating homeowners I have ever worked with. The yard is large, which worked great for our support space, given the COVID of it all. We had enough space to seat a nimble cast and crew of 30, safely distanced with 2 people per table, each dept with their own popup tent. The main living spaces of the home are open floor plan, which gave us the depth we needed for camera. They also have industrial strength flooring, though we still put loco mats down and used tennis balls for stands. (Come on gang, do it right!). The neighborhood is also super film friendly. We had some scenes that played in the driveway and on the sidewalk and never had any trouble. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so traffic was minimal. There is a huge amount of truck parking on Canoga Ave, which is easy to add to your FilmLA permit and connects directly to the end of the cul-de-sac via a wide sidewalk. Looking forward to getting to film here again!
