About the Space
J. Ryan Ulsh Studio is a photo/video studio and prop house located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The studio has moveable wall flats (custom colors available for an additional fee), lighting equipment, props, and seamless backdrops (107" wide if you're bringing your own). The 350 square foot space features exposed white brick walls and three large windows with natural light. The space is on the 4th floor and faces north/west so golden hour is beautiful. If you’re looking to do something with controlled studio lighting, room darkening curtains are available. Great for brands, photographers, videographers, producers, and art directors. Parking description
There is free street parking on Greenpoint Avenue (check the parking signs) as well as nearby streets if all of the spots are full on Greenpoint Ave.

Lighting description
Large windows covering 3 walls (facing north & west). Sheer curtains for softer light as well as blackout curtains to completely block any light. In the winter, direct sunlight comes in from 11:30am - sunset. In the summer, direct sunlight comes in from 1pm - sunset.
Space is not soundproof
Ambient noise description
Sound is pretty quiet, it is on Greenpoint Avenue so the morning and rush hour will be the loudest. In the summer there is a window AC unit but this can be turned off when recording sound.
Crew access
Stairs, Freight Elevator
Equipment loading description
There is a garage/loading zone directly on Greenpoint Avenue in which a freight elevator can be taken to the 4th floor. Loading trucks/cars will need to be moved and cannot stay in the garage all day.
Electrical system description
Power rating is great in the space, there are plenty of outlets and extension cords. I've only had an outlet go out a couple times in which the circuit breaker is in the hallway and easily accessible.

General Rules
No smoking. Please be respectful of the space and the props within the space. I'm very close by so if you have any questions or need help with something, please don't hesitate to message me and I'll swing by and help.

Furniture and decorations may be moved
Everything in the space is easily movable/on wheels. Furniture cannot be removed from the building but things can be moved around within the space. There aren't any wall decorations.

Health and Safety Measures
Space is cleaned in between each booking to ensure optimal cleanliness and performance.
Enhanced cleaning measures:
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
- Disposable gloves
- Disposable masks / face coverings
- Hand Sanitizer
