This early 1900's warehouse loft was formerly a Prohibition era distillery, then a spring factory for several decades, and was most recently converted into a gorgeous loft space with tremendous natural, north-facing light and an inspiring, clean Scandinavian aesthetic. The space has a wood burning fireplace and custom woodwork throughout. Shelving, walls, ceiling, exposed beams, pendant lighting, and bricks are painted a bright white which allows the plant life and green furnishes to pop. Overall, the goal of "Campsite" is to create a soothing environment which enhances both living and working experiences. The location is directly in the heart of Wicker Park with easy free parking along both sides of the building on Wood or Haddon Streets. The space features tall north-facing windows and steps leading up from the street directly into the space. I don't do events generally and prefer to host film and photography shoots during the daytime. The kitchen, which occupies a 18ft x 18ft space is often a primary focus for users and very easy to work with. It is situated in the corner of the loft on the street side where there are 4 large east facing windows bringing in an abundance of light. There are 4 small bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the space. Please note that there are residents who live in the space so bedrooms and the back bathroom are generally off limits. Additionally, I would kindly ask that you request your dates with me in advance and I'll confirm with the residents that the booking works with their schedules too! Given the times, I make every effort to hand over the space to you entirely for your booking. Occasionally (especially for early or late timeframes), circumstances will require that tenants are able to quietly access the back rooms if needed. Much appreciated!
