The space is a historic, 25-room property built in 1927 to house the talent of the Western film industry in nearby Alabama Hills. Roy Rogers filmed his first movie "Under Western Stars" at the hotel, and the guest list, includes; John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Bing Crosby, Gene Autry, and countless other singing cowboys, as well as the Manson Girls, and other detectives from the infamous Manson Trial. The hotel features a large, warm lobby with a stone fireplace and ornate carpentry work. The property's long corridors, historic lighting and guestroom views of the Eastern Sierra mountain range offer a unique setting for a variety of location needs.
