About the Space
Welcome to 826 Valencia Mission Bay. Did you know that you could rent our space for your very own event, gathering, or meeting? That’s right—the same whimsical, vibrant space we use to inspire our young authors can be used to inspire your friends, peers, and colleagues. All proceeds from your rental will go directly to supporting our free programs for under-resourced students. Our spacious space is a great space for a variety of activities. Furniture and amenities include: 10 tables (each seats 4) 40 chairs Projector AV system Projector/screen Small Cave Play Space One Private bathroom Kitchen (includes a sink, refrigerator, and microwave) Our space is great for group work and hands-on activities. For readings or parties, the space is open enough to allow your guests to mingle, and there’s plenty of room for a bar, food, and/or a merchandise booth. And our cool green space makes for a great backdrop for photos! In addition to the Writing Lab, our retail shop can be opened to the guests upon request. This retail shop provides a glimpse into the magical adventures of our mythical woodland creatures, supplies for your next adventure, and books written by students in 826 programs. The center is located in Mission Bay, close to the Chase Center, A SFSU campus, an outdoor food park, and is easily accessible from anywhere in San Francisco by public transit.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels

We had an excellent time at 826 Valencia for our research group’s holiday party. The space was very flexible with decorations, food, and alcohol, as long as we did a good job cleaning up after. It was easy for guests to enter and exit which was great, particularly compared to other options in the area. It is also nice to support an important local nonprofit!

The host, Luis was super accommodating with our larger party of 50. We booked the space over the weekend to celebrate my daughters birthday and everyone loved the spacious, bright and clean room. Chairs and tables were readily available along with an open kitchen with sink/fridge and a restroom for our guest. The front desk folks were super friendly and sweet. Will definitely book my next event here again!

Host was very responsive and helpful in answering questions. The space was as advertised and more (they allowed us the use of their fridge, microwave, mini toaster oven, hot plate, and utensils). It was the perfect space for our Friendsgiving event.
