About 826 Valencia Mission Bay
Did you know that you could rent our space for your very own event, gathering, or meeting? That’s right—the same whimsical, vibrant space we use to inspire our young authors can be used to inspire your friends, peers, and colleagues. All proceeds from your rental will go directly to supporting our free programs for under-resourced students. Our spacious space is a great space for a variety of activities. Furniture and amenities include: 10 tables (each seats 4) 40 chairs Projector AV system Projector/screen Small Cave Play Space One Private bathroom Kitchen (includes a sink, refrigerator, and microwave) Our space is great for group work and hands-on activities. For readings or parties, the space is open enough to allow your guests to mingle, and there’s plenty of room for a bar, food, and/or a merchandise booth. And our cool green space makes for a great backdrop for photos! In addition to the Writing Lab, our retail shop can be opened to the guests upon request. This retail shop provides a glimpse into the magical adventures of our mythical woodland creatures, supplies for your next adventure, and books written by students in 826 programs. The center is located in Mission Bay, close to the Chase Center, A SFSU campus, an outdoor food park, and is easily accessible from anywhere in San Francisco by public transit. NOTE: We have a 2 week confirmation period. Please aim to book 2 weeks in advance so we can make sure your event is not interrupted. If you submit a booking request earlier than 2 weeks from your event date, we will use our discretion to either deny or accept your request.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
- Capacity is limited based on governmental guidelines

We had our son’s first birthday at 826 Valencia Mission Bay. It’s an amazing space for a kids birthday party. Luis and Rain were extremely helpful and showed us the space ahead of time. It’s great that the rental benefits the nonprofit. Highly recommend!

It was great! Luis and team were great to work with, and our event (after having to scramble to move indoors because of the weather) went off without a hitch! There was great carpeted floor space for kids to be entertained, and we had our balloon artist on the stage area that also was visible for adults across the room. The trees and glass murals came out so beautiful in our photos, and many of our guests wanted to book for their kiddos bdays in the future as well!

Cannot recommend this place enough!! It is so beautiful. The staff was easy to work with. We hosted my daughter's 5th birthday here. It was magical. We did a woodland forest theme. We were able to get in and set up with ease. Guests were blown away when they showed up. We had about 50 adults and children and had plenty of space to move. There were tables and chairs for people to sit at, the kids utilized the carpet space, our fairy performer used the stage. She also commented it was such a special party and place and had been doing kids parties for 10 years! We did our own cleanup which was great as we had lots of family to help. We were able to serve the food and drinks we wanted to. I thought the rental prices were very reasonable and I would absolutely book this space again for future parties! Thank you for allowing us the use of the space and helping to create such special memories for our kiddo!

The 826Valencia meeting space in Mission Bay was the perfect spot for group's gathering. The space is as described, WIFI and projector were available, and Luis and the rest of the staff were kind and helpful during the event. Luis was an excellent communicator as we planned the event and was quick to reply to questions.

We had an excellent time at 826 Valencia for our research group’s holiday party. The space was very flexible with decorations, food, and alcohol, as long as we did a good job cleaning up after. It was easy for guests to enter and exit which was great, particularly compared to other options in the area. It is also nice to support an important local nonprofit!

The host, Luis was super accommodating with our larger party of 50. We booked the space over the weekend to celebrate my daughters birthday and everyone loved the spacious, bright and clean room. Chairs and tables were readily available along with an open kitchen with sink/fridge and a restroom for our guest. The front desk folks were super friendly and sweet. Will definitely book my next event here again!
