Did you know that you could rent our space for your very own event, gathering, or meeting? That’s right—the same whimsical, vibrant space we use to inspire our young authors can be used to inspire your friends, peers, and colleagues. All proceeds from your rental will go directly to supporting our free programs for under-resourced students. Our spacious space is a great space for a variety of activities. Furniture and amenities include: 10 tables (each seats 4) 40 chairs Projector AV system Projector/screen Small Cave Play Space One Private bathroom Kitchen (includes a sink, refrigerator, and microwave) Our space is great for group work and hands-on activities. For readings or parties, the space is open enough to allow your guests to mingle, and there’s plenty of room for a bar, food, and/or a merchandise booth. And our cool green space makes for a great backdrop for photos! In addition to the Writing Lab, our retail shop can be opened to the guests upon request. This retail shop provides a glimpse into the magical adventures of our mythical woodland creatures, supplies for your next adventure, and books written by students in 826 programs. The center is located in Mission Bay, close to the Chase Center, A SFSU campus, an outdoor food park, and is easily accessible from anywhere in San Francisco by public transit.

Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price.
