All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

About the Space

Studio 438 was designed as the most complete single shooter rental space possible in the Greater Portland Maine area. The combination of lush southwest light and a range of window modifiers make the space exciting for natural light shoots. The available hardware, gaff and strobe lighting makes 438 a complete package for the all other still work. From 10,000 watt/seconds of power to variator sources down to 19 watt/seconds, lots and lots more is available for rental. The shooting space measures 22’x35’ with a ceiling height of 15’ within an overall footprint of 25'x50'. The freight elevator moves your equipment from off street loading dock to our 4th floor studio so easily.

Lighting description

A full wall of 8’x3’ windows facing WSW fill the space with a lush range of light. Blackout curtains, 80% solar screen shades and snap in ripstop diffusers give a range of natural light options. The studio is also wired for continuous light as well as heavy load strobe.

Space is not soundproof

The sound of the river is the only thing with the AC off.

This 4th floor studio is less then 100ft from the industrial freight elevator which loads at an off street dock.

General Rules

No smoking space with a maximum of 8 person crew. Photo, video, casting interviews and film shoots only. To use the freight elevator you must be accompanied by studio crew.
