Kitchen The use of our kitchen is an additional cost of $50 per hour. It is a limited kitchen so not fully equipped for cooking but can be used as a prep area or storage space for caterers and clients. Rental Times Rental time is not to exceed the reserved time. Any time beyond this (either before or after) will be billed at the agreed upon hourly rate. You are responsible for coordinating with any vendors on the reserved time. Security Deposit Client may be asked to pay for a $250 refundable security deposit through Square depending on the size and nature of the event. The payment will be returned within 7 business days following the event if no damages have incurred. Estimated attendance An estimated number of attendees to your event must be given at the time the reservation is made. A final count is required 7 business days prior to your reserved time. Guests Groups including individuals less than 18 years of age must be chaperoned by parents, faculty, or school staff members at a minimum required ratio of one adult to twenty-five (25) ​minors​. Security There must be one security guard or police member for every one hundred (100) minors​. Security must be present & on-duty 1 hour prior to event start time & 1 hour after event end time. Additionally, if event consists of minors, no guest re-entry permitted once guest leaves. Security isn't required but it is up to the client depending on the type of event. The client is responsible for hiring them and managing them while on site. Vendors San Diego Made reserves the right to refuse admittance to any agent, vendor, or guest of the Renter at San Diego Made’s sole discretion. Event Host and/or Caterers are responsible for loading and unloading their own supplies and/or equipment. Point of Contact It is required that there is a point of contact onsite at the beginning and end of the reserved time. The point of contact is required to be onsite before vendors load in and is to be onsite once all vendors have loaded out. Point of contact is required to check in and check out with onsite manager at beginning and end of event rental time. Point of contact is to be the first to arrive and last to leave. It is the responsibility of your point of contact to ensure that all vendors/professionals/exhibitors are abiding by all policies set by this agreement. If the contracted time is longer than 10 hours and/or if the event consists of more than 100 guests, client must provide two points of contact. Alcohol Service Due to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Regulations, no alcoholic beverages will be allowed to be sold within the venue except when supplied and served by an approved bartending caterers. Any violation may result in closing of the bar, or if necessary, cancellation of event. All events with a bar must have the appropriate permit from the department of Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC). It is your responsibility to ensure ABC regulations are being followed. Alcohol service will cease 30 minutes prior to the end time of the event in compliance with ABC regulations. You shall insure that alcoholic beverages are served only by the authorized staff (who are LEAD certified) and consumed only by persons over the age of twenty-one (21). Right of way Entrances and exits are not to be blocked or obstructed. Compliance with all fire codes and regulations is required Noise and Music Restrictions All music and noise is subject to California’s 24-hour noise ordinance. This means that complaints can be made about the volume of an event at any hour of the day or night. We ask that noise is to be reduced by 10 p.m. First complaint brings a request to reduce the noise. Second complaint means that an event is closed down. Please be mindful of San Diego Made Factory Residents when it comes to noise/music. Also be mindful that the residents are not prohibited from working during events, and may cause disruptive noise during your event although they will be aware of all events occurring in the space and will be courteous of your event. Permits & Licenses Client is responsible for all permits and licenses that may be required for the event. ***Most permitting agencies need at least 30 days in advance of the event to process a permit.*** Events that sell liquor are required to get a permit from Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC). A health permit from the County of San Diego Dept. of Environmental Health is required if food is going to be sold. Prohibited/Regulated Items The following items are also not allowed​: Candles, Fireworks, Confetti, Search Lights, Glitter, Sparklers, Laser Lights, and Flocking machines. Fog Machines must be approved by San Diego Made in advance. Outside drones are not permitted unless Client has received permission from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Owner shall be provided a Certificate of Waiver or Authorization for the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). Candles and other open-flame devices are not allowed. No nudity or explicit content allowed. Any outdoor cooking must be in accordance with city and health code regulations. Inquire at the City of San Diego’s website for guidelines and regulations. Signage All displays, and signage is to remain on the contracted property. Signage must be approved by San Diego Made - and can include sidewalk signage, building signage, staked signage. Trash An adequate number of trash and recycling receptacles must be rented by client (or be sure that our provided trash cans will accommodate your guests.) All trash must fit inside the dumpster with ample room to completely close the lid. Nothing may be stacked next to dumpsters.
