Nestled by the picturesque beach, literally steps away from the entrance of the OB pier, this 2750 square-foot art haven café transcends the ordinary, offering an immersive experience tailored just for you. Step into our vibrant world adorned with eclectic art, where a sprawling dance floor awaits, illuminated by dazzling overhanging lights that dance in rhythm with your beats. Our PA system is on hand to fuel your party with electrifying music, while a projection screen and projectors add a creative flair for presentations, videos, or anything your imagination conjures. Check out our artsy bathroom with a mosaic mirror floor or explore the backyard oasis for a breath of fresh sea air where if you like you can have a catering service or food truck pull right up to and serve your guests! The fun doesn't stop there! Our expert bartenders will be at your service, crafting or serving drinks that you can supply us with, providing a unique and cost-effective option opposed to having to spend so much money on bar prices you can bring any type of beverage in beforehand and we can serve to you and your guests for your celebration. If you would like you can add one of our staff members to do a store run for you so you can have all your favorite drinks at grocery store prices for your event! - The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Host was very responsive and the whole staff was extremely accommodating and lovely. My boyfriend got way too sick and proceeded to be sick outside and staff was VERY understanding as I had to leave my own event early. They served all my drinks and were all very sweet! This place is so vibrant and lovely and every guest kept commenting on how cool the venue was. Thank you guys for an amazing experience :-)

Great venue, plenty of space for our party of 65 guests. The venue owner was very responsive during the planning process and the evening went perfect. We will definitely use this venue again and I highly recommend it!

We booked The Template for our wedding welcome party and it was SO GREAT! The space is so awesome and full of cool, colorful art—our guests kept remarking how much they loved it. There's also a good mix of sitting space and open space... great for mingling. Just has a really unique, interesting interior, which makes it stand out from a lot of event venues in San Diego that are really sterile! The staff was SO HELPFUL and took care of us from beginning to end. They helped us get our AV setup going and even hired someone to man the door. And special shoutout to the bartender Roberta who made our guests feel so welcome and even learned our signature drink menu. It's clear they are pros and took our event seriously. Booking an event at The Template was a wonderful, seamless experience.... don't hesitate!

We booked The Template for our baby shower and it was Wonderful! The hosts were very helpful and very easy to communicate with. The location decor is great and the atmosphere of the place is very chill. The host also provided us with music and with their coffee menu. Overall a amazing experience would definitely book again!
