Dianna N. booked an anniversary party for 49 people
Erick (host) was great with quick responses and clear with what to expect. Space was even better than expected. They even had extra plates, cups, utensils, serving warming racks, etc. Easy to find from the outside. It was a perfect spot for our wedding anniversary party. Everyone asked how we found this location. Would highly recommend and book again.
Amy C. booked an event for 40 people
The space was incredible! Beautiful, spacious, it had everything we needed (though we opted to bring in all of the serving and dining items needed), the entire space was comfortable and just as pictured. The host was on time to meet us and checked in periodically to see if we needed anything. I would HIGHLY recommend this Peerspace rental!

“The Other Room” is a very cool space to have a party. We had a good time with our guests, but there were multiple concerns that we brought to Erick’s (owner) attention. Unfortunately, he was very dismissive. The furniture that was in the entrance was significantly stained to the point where people didn’t want to sit on them and they were blocking a large part of the stairs, which made it difficult (especially for our elderly guests) to go up and down easily and safely. Erick’s response was that he has had them professionally cleaned many times, implying that we must be mistaken about what we and our guests saw. The shuffle board was unusable because it was too sticky. My uncle (who was present) makes shuffle boards and tried to make them usable, unsuccessfully. When we told Erick, his response was that he has a guy that takes great care of it, implying that we must be mistaken about our guests not being able to play shuffle board. Two of the pool cues were missing tips. Erick apologized for this and said he would take care of it. We also had a very poor exchange with Jeff (manager) upon arrival, and it set a very negative tone for the rest of the day. I will admit that I didn’t react well to his unprofessional behavior. “Don’t come at me crazy”, was the response we received when I told him that we would have appreciated a response to our morning messages, confirming the doors would be opened at 11:00. Erick sent me a message, giving me Jeff’s contact information to assist me and answer questions. Per Erick via email: “My event manager Jeff is on site to greet you and help answer any questions throughout your event and remains out of your way but close by for any necessary help. He also closes down the space”. Erick questioned our expectations. If I hadn’t received this email above from him, I would have only expected someone to just open the door, but this message altered my expectations and in turn, I expected Jeff to respond to my three messages the morning of the party, simply confirming the space would be opened on time. He opened the door at 10:59 and was dismissive of my disappointment that he didn’t respond to my voicemail and two texts, when Eric told me he would be our contact for the event. When I told Erick about my disappointment, his response was to defend Jeff, and said that they had met their obligation per the contract to have the door open at 11:00. Not a very reassuring thing to hear when you have guests arriving in 20 minutes. Erick also gave me his contact information as a resource after I shared the negative experience with Jeff via email, but we were in the full swings of the party by then. Erick said that Jeff would be onsite and he wasn’t. Our guests were very cold and when we looked for Jeff to help us, he was nowhere to be found. We brought our concerns to Erick the next day and our goal was to give him our feedback as a consideration, and possibly help him in the future. Although we had a negative experience, we were not asking for money back. We were expecting an apology and reassurance that the concerns we had were valid, appreciated and would be addressed. Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. The conversation with Erick was unproductive. Erick’s response was to take the position, “I’m going to defend my business”. When I asked him what he was hoping to achieve with our conversation, he responded that he hadn’t really thought about it. My husband and I were going to give “The Other Room” a “3” rating before we talked to Erick. After our conversation with him we lowered it to a “2”. Hopefully no one else has an experience like we did, and if they do, hopefully no one else will be dismissed like we were.
