Set within the woods and undulating terrain, NYT-featured Creek House draws on the privacy of the surrounding landscape to provide a peaceful retreat. One side of the house is nestled into the hillside while the opposite facade opens up to capture views, including a rushing creek 100 feet below.
The space
New home. All the modern details. Custom all-wood kitchen cabinetry is sustainably made, and all appliances are high-end stainless steel. Both the kitchen island and back countertops are cut from one slab of marble; the backsplash is a single piece of white glass. From the living and dining rooms, tall sliding glass doors open up to an expansive deck and to the woods beyond; essentially the outdoors becomes an extension of the living space. A bedroom, and a full bath, complete the main level. The master and guest suites on the second level are spacious and calming, both offering treehouse-like views. Closets and storage are plenty, and bathrooms are outfitted with marble, lava stone and Italian Porcelanosa tile, as well as custom vanities designed by the architect. Designed by a world famous architect and master builder. The house is heated with radiant floors and includes air conditioning in all bedrooms.
