Our largest indoor reception space, the newly renovated Assembly Room features coffered ceilings, contemporary lighting and dark floors. Three full-height doors open onto the lower west terrace and gardens, rented separately. The room also has a nonworking fireplace. A portion of the room has an optional partition for breakout groups. The adjacent North Room will be refurbished as a more informal space that may be used as a break out space during meetings, buffet setup, or as a retreat from the crowd during receptions. Enjoy access to a large serving kitchen for catering service or for limited food preparation. The Assembly Room is the perfect space for a celebration, a larger workshop or office retreat, dinner or a reception. Your event may be expanded by the use of the lower west terrace and gardens, rented separately, which you may tent.

I absolutely love the Friends Meeting of Washington space. I am a local organizer and have attended retreats in this space in the past, but I was even more delighted at how easy it was to host a reception dinner here for my colleagues. Brian was the most helpful host. He made sure I had all the information I needed about the space to plan and decorate, and also provided us with the best recommendations for catering and bar services. This space is highly accessible, and if you're looking for people that are accommodating for COVID safety, they really have you covered and support the safety plans you have in place for your gathering. The kitchen is outfitted and functional for catering use, and most of the people they recommend have worked with them already and seem to know where everything is at so you don't need to worry about orienting them. If they aren't familiar, Brian or someone on staff will make sure you have the information you need. The space is newly renovated, spacious has an abundance of natural lighting, and there is an outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful, lush, green lawn if you'd like to tent (they have recommendations on who to use for that as well!). Overall, this space has you covered, and I highly recommend hosting an event here.

This space was perfect for our needs! It was better than advertised! We were able to transform the space for our graduation ceremony for our students that attend our school. Brian was super responsive from the jump and made sure that we were able to schedule a walk-through before booking. He was also very responsive when I had questions during the planning process and throughout the week of event. The staff on-site during the event were gracious and very helpful as well! I can't wait to book this space again for other events on our calendar!
