About the Space
Located in the heart of the newest cultural arts district in Houston, Space 5 is the city’s newest and best kept secret. This house was originally built in 1925 and completely remodeled in 2020. Some original elements like the original shiplap and brick chimney have been incorporated into a very appealing modern design. Whether you need a meeting spot for a corporate function, a fully staged location for a photo or video shoot, or you want a memorable venue for your next event, this place has it all. 5 rooms with modular furniture that can be repositioned for your use. Amenities include 2 full baths, a kitchen area, conference room that can accommodate up to 20 people, an atrium room that opens to the front porch, a large room with lounge seating and large bay windows, and many accent walls perfect for any backdrop. Every room makes a statement. You can book them individually or book the entire building. Fun fact: In the 1950s this house was in the heart of a business district and hosted visitors like Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner and James Brown who came to perform at the local clubs along the street.

- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Great space perfect for medium sized groups and entertaining. Biggest issue was there wasn't any hand soap in restrooms or like basic supplies we were hoping for like paper towel & trash bags.

This place was perfect for our family Christmas gathering. There were a few issues, the microwave, refrigerator, & garbage disposal we’re not working. After reaching out we were told it could possibly be a tripped breaker.. this created a problem with draining the sink because we couldn’t use the garbage disposal.. there also weren’t any trash bags, some trash couldn’t be thrown in the trash without bags because of leaking.. overall this place has
