About the Space
Studio 8 is our private, natural light studio. At 2,000 sq. ft., this studio has a dedicated street entrance and loading dock, a private kitchenette, stunning natural light, and blackout curtains. A Ciel fave, it is perfect for sets, production, shoots, fittings, and more. Located in Southwest Berkeley, our building features 50,000 sq. ft. of operable space. Also located in-house are our production partners, Ranahan Production Services and Little Giant Lighting & Grip Co. We are happy to act as your liaison to procure their services during your time with us. We have limited parking onsite which is subject to availability. Please let us know about any parking requirements so we can work with you on a parking plan. Amenities include: - Approx. 2,000 sq. ft. - 23’ H Ceiling - Private Studio - Ground floor accessible with private truck-height loading doors - Natural Light - Blackout option - Portable Heating & Cooling - Kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, and appliances - Lounge with two sofas - Dedicated Wifi - Sawtooth Windows & Skylight - Western Exposure - Rental rate covers a 10-hour day. - Overtime and weekends are possible for an additional fee with advance notice. Notable proximities to our building include ~ 7min drive/35 min walk from Ashby Bart Station ~ 8 min walk from Berkeley Bowl ~ 20 min drive from San Francisco Civic Center Bart Station

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
