FranMo has been designed to offer any photographer, film crew or video production team an acre of ever-changing and seasonal photo-fabulous backdrops, practical-use spaces, and multiple staging areas at a single location. Having a Television and Performance background Owner, Frank Harlan designed FranMo to offer four seasons of never-ending gardens, flowering plants and trees. He created backdrops and spaces that look like art installations, or at least like you traveled out of the city limits. He knows the value of a resource like this for any production team. And will make sure your experience is top shelf. FranMo is more than 40,000 square feet of spacious outdoor gardens, a plant nursery, and open lawns surrounded by 100' tall heritage trees -- delivering a Pacific Northwest flavor. In addition to the 3-D backgrounds FranMo is also an operating Urban Farm with an active vegetable garden (lots of tomatoes, greens and peas). You really have to walk the grounds to see it all. The centerpiece and backdrop of this property is a 1927 Mediterranean-style stucco home designed by William Bain. And, in the side yard is a Cedar Tree that is 10' in diameter at the base, over 100' tall, and 115 years old. To top it off, with a small production team in mind, FranMo has a Green Room with a private dressing room, restroom and meeting space.

Jennifer K. booked a birthday party for 30 people
I worked with Frank to plan an awesome 40th birthday party for my husband. Frank was fantastic to work with and the location was perfect for this event. There are so many great spaces to work with-we used one space for putting out food and setting up a bar and another to set up tables with board games and cupcakes, plus there was a ton of great yard space for the variety of games Frank has to put out (badminton, giant Jenga, cornhole, etc). We lucked out with perfect weather, but there was plenty of covered space so it would have been fun even in the rain. We had about 20 adults and 15 kids ranging in age from 3-10 and it worked great for everyone. There was a lot of space for the kids to run around and it’s all contained so there was no worrying about them getting too close to the street or disturbing other groups like we would have in a restaurant situation. Frank has so much relevant professional experience in events and was so helpful with ideas and making sure everything ran well the day of. The grounds are gorgeous and it’s such a special place right in the city! I’d highly recommend this beautiful space and would absolutely love to work with Frank again!
Michelle P. booked a 1st birthday party for 30 people
We recently hosted a 1st Birthday party for our son at FranMo Urban Farm. It's a lovely, park-like setting perfect for our small group of close family and friends. All communication was promptly handled from the very start. The owner, Frank, was easy to work with from our initial tour of the property all the way through to the day of the party. Frank and his wife, Molly, were on hand to help set up on the day of, and even added lovely finishing touches like bouquets of fresh flowers and handmade Happy Birthday signs. They provided fun games like badminton, bean bag toss, tetherball, and giant Jenga (which was a favorite!). Although we only rented the outdoor backyard space, we also had access to a small kitchenette, bathroom and quiet room for the Birthday Boy to take a nap. During these Covid times, it was also nice to have an outdoor handwashing station available for our guests. Frank was great in coordinating with the food truck driver and dessert cart setting up so that we could enjoy the party without interruptions. From the property itself to the ease of communication to the outcome of the party, everything was fantastic! We'd definitely host another outdoor event at FranMo Urban Farm again... Thanks, Frank and Molly!
Tim O. booked an event for 25 people
This venue is beautiful, and they were awesome to work with. We booked for an afternoon garden party and it was the perfect setup: lawn games, picnic tables and blankets, a mix of shade and sun, lots of different nooks for people to sit/hang out in and a relaxing nature-filled surroundings. They take excellent care of the property, are super accommodating to the vision we had, and loved to share their knowledge of the gardens which was really interesting. Would not hesitate to book again!
