Ocean Views at Beach House Retreats on LBI, NJ

This was my family’s property since 1958. Our immediate 1-mile radius has 30 businesses in walking distance. We have the main food store, water sport rentals/, and shops of all kinds lessons, bike rentals, yoga, park, bay beach, dog park, restaurants, tavern/liquor store, ice cream. This is a residence that is laid out as a relaxed setting. It is a great place to gather. We have 4 places to congregate and space to spread out/break out into smaller groups in. There are 2 living rooms, the 1st floor living room is an open floor plan with the dining room/kitchen area. This area can seat 12 on the L shaped couch (120 sq. ft approx.), the dining table can seat 20 additional people (180 sq. ft. approx.), and the buffets can seat another 6 if needed. This living room has a 42” flat screen smart TV. The second floor living room can seat 12 (150 sq ft. approx). This living room has a 60” Flat Screen Smart TV. Our 2 outdoor areas are the back yard that has 2 dining tables that can seat up to 22 (510 sq ft. approx.), and a sitting area with end/coffee table that can seat up to 15 additional people. The 4th floor rooftop deck can seat up to 12 at a large dining table and a sitting area that can seat up to 15 people(540 sq ft approx.). The rooftop deck also has a couple of chaise lounges and a beautiful hot tub to sit and relax in while taking in the ocean, bay, mainland, and night sky views. LBI has a few options on getting there. There are public buses from NY and Philly, and transportation available with either taxi, limo services or uber from the area airports. There is parking at the house for 5-7 cars in lot, and free public parking on the street (check signs for days allowed), and at the end of the block for many cars in the public free parking lot inside the Blvd. median. The house has indoor and outdoor places to gather and spread out in groups to deliberate ideas. The house is perfect for day meeting, networking location or a project working weekend. The cooking facilities are wonderful with a restaurant level oven and cook top, a large fridge and freezer plus a large barbeque. Owners are super friendly and do everything they can to ensure that your visit is hassle free. Great location right next to the beach, up the street from Kubel’s and their good food, easy access to food, liquor, and all the amenities of Beach Haven. Retreat 5/5 Excellent setup for large groups, has ample kitchen gear and beach gear to take a meeting to the beach. The house was gorgeous, clean and well setup for large groups to hang out. I had my 60th Birthday party with 20 of my closest friends, it rained the day of the party, but the house was so large it accommodated everyone for an indoor party. We were all wonderfully comfortable. The house is located just a few yards from the beach, which was great, no long walk from the bay to the ocean like we usually do. Also do not be alarmed by the owners living a section of the house. Mary Ann & Tom was none intrusive but were available if needed. Lovely people also. If you are looking for a nice house that’s close to the beach and all the fine restaurants that LBI has to offer this is the house to rent. We also took our two dachshunds with us and they loved it as well. Oh, how could I forget the rooftop hot tub with the beautiful views of LBI. We hope to be able to visit again sometime. Diane F Business Meeting 5/5 Group gatherings at the Beach House Retreat! I’ve attended 3 different gatherings at the Beach House Retreat and it is the PERFECT place! If you are planning an office meeting or girls Weekend or business seminar, family reunion, birthday party…..any time you need a large but intimate space you must consider coming here! Let your ideas flow………with a home setting opposed to a hotel where there really aren’t meeting rooms on LBI. There is a large table to congregate with a sitting area. There is also the outdoor space. Plenty of sleeping too if you are staying overnight or the weekend. Steps to the beach is an added bonus. And Mary Ann and Tom will help you plan from start to finish if needed!! I just can’t say enough, check it out for yourself. Lisa V Reunion 5/5 Great location! We had a fantastic week at the house in August. Hot tub and porch on the roof were great – especially at sunset! Location to the beach (5 minute walk) was so convenient. Really appreciated that lots of beach chairs and a few umbrellas were available at the house for our use. Lots of stores and restaurants easily accessible. House was laid out nicely for a big group. Owners were very nice and extremely helpful with lots of information about the area. Kelly M Bachelorette Party 5/5 Bachelorette Party Success. Its proximity to the beach makes it the ideal place to stay in LBI. The rooftop deck is a great spot to entertain, and the downstairs kitchen fit us all comfortably. Mary Ann and Tom were so willing to help and are just the kindest hosts we could imagine. I would definitely recommend haveing a party here – we are trying to come back here next year ourselves! Tina P Reunion 5/5 Fantastic Extended Family Reunion Location. Our family reunion vacation week for our mother’s 80th Birthday at Tom and Mary Ann’s house was nothing short of fantastic! The weather was great, even with the complimentary downpour day to let the skin come off sizzle mode, just perfect. We were a large family group… family coming in from NY, NM, Ca and Germany. We pushed the limits in space but with the backyard patio area, rooftop hot tub soaking deck (special accolades to that), the ocean so close and so many places you could walk, bike, paddle to we never at all came to in your face situations… which we all know with family is usually inevitable. We wanted to do something special for our Mom (Omi) for her birthday so we took Mary Ann and Tom’s referral and hired the caterer that they suggested… we did a luau theme and they came to the house with the pig roast complete with Hawaiian veggies and salads. I for one was amazed that we actually surprised her but I do believe we really pulled it off. We were initially hesitant to rent because of landowners sharing the same house…but we started our search late and there weren’t many options to accommodate our large group so we took the chance. Couldn’t have been any farther from the fears we had to reality. Always friendly and helpful… never intrusive or controlling. By the time we left it felt like we were leaving old friends… The hot donuts Mary Ann brought us from an old time LBI donut shop, in the morning that sealed the deal! Our family grew up summers in LBI. Lucky me got to share it with my granddaughter while my Mom (Omi) is still with us and oh so big a center of our family. 4 generations of LBI addicts…. what better place to enjoy family! Susan G Reunion 5/5 Great place for family gathering party. We had a great experience at this house. We had about 20 extended family members from age 11 to 69. The house fit us all comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and appliances with even enough silverware for us when we all ate at the same time at the great kitchen table! The table was also good for playing games at night, even having two different groups playing at the same time. The closeness to the beach is a plus. We plan to go back again to this house next year. I rented this house to use for a retreat for high school seniors from my church’s youth group before they graduated and went off to college. We were welcomed by the owners with open arms and had the best retreat! The house is big! 15-20 people were out back and the rooftop complete with a hot tub and couches was the perfect hangout during the afternoon and evening. The views were amazing, and the house is right next to the beach. The owners were so accommodating and friendly! I would definitely recommend this home to rent if you are looking for a spacious and fun place to have a meeting :) Barb B Bachelorette Party 5/5 AMAZING. Best beach house ever. We went for a bachelorette party and had the most wonderful time. The house was large and clean; the rooftop had spectacular views – and a hot tub; and the hosts were amazing, even providing us with bachelorette games and mailing back a cooler we forgot. Would recommend this house to anyone!!! Dianne Girls Retreat 5/5 Excellent Group Stay in Beautiful LBI – Best house at the beach! We had a wonderful retreat in Mary Ann’s house at LBI! They were the ultimate hosts to our 15-girl retreat. The hot tub with panoramic views was a crowd pleaser and gave us the opportunity to host happy hour at our very own spot! Steps to the beach. We had an awesome group run. There was a wine festival in town in the afternoon and the ultimate treat – our very own catered lobster and clam bake! Mary Ann helped us with referrals and suggestions for EVERYTHING! Definitely a rare gem at a reasonable price! Vicki C Reunion 5/5 This property and the owners totally exceeded our expectations. Tom & MaryAnn are wonderful to deal with and the amenities were everything they said PLUS some. The house is clean and neat. We did a lot of cooking while there and the kitchen is very well stocked. The area is very residential which makes it nice to take a walk or ride a bike. Distance from the house to the beach is only steps away. The rooftop deck is nothing short of AMAZING! You have views of the ocean as well as the bay. Simply beautiful. If we needed anything Tom & MaryAnn were just a phone call or text away! I would recommend this property to anyone who has a larger group and would like to be close to the beach. Looking forward to returning again soon. Ilene Ladies Retreat 5/5 Overall, the house was absolutely beautiful. My friends and I had an amazing time. There were 14 of us and we had BBQ and really had a great time staying here. The rooftop was by far the best part of the house. The view is amazing. The house was clean and very organized. Thank you so much Tom & Maryann for letting us be a part of your house. Ressa Birthday Celebration 5/5 We could not have asked for better accommodations for our surprise family reunion for my Dad’s 75th. birthday! The home was set up perfectly for our large family. I would highly recommend this rental – Mary Ann was such a big help and put up with our last-minute requests!!! Bella Bachelorette Party 5/5 Just returned from a bachelorette party in LBI with 14 other girls! We had a ball! The Beach House Retreats property could not have been more perfect for our group. The house is 3 from the beach, with a great backyard, outdoor shower, and the most spectacular roof deck, including expansive views of the beach and ocean (not to mention a hot tub on the roof!). When we arrived, the property was clean and the owners were very friendly, catering to our requests to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The house was stocked with everything one might possibly need at the beach or a rental home- beach chairs,kitchen wares, etc. I would definitely return! Toronto Wedding Party 5/5 Tom and Maryann are wonderful hosts. We had all the details taken care of and our whole family said it was the best wedding they’d been to. Right on the beach and gorgeous weather. We loved it! Astoria Bachelorette Party 5/5 We had a fantastic Party at the Wed and Bed in LBI. Sixteen of us from all over the mid-Atlantic showed up on a Friday. House was in great condition, fully stocked kitchen, and atmospheric rooftop with a great view of the entire island. Tom and Mary ann were fantastic hosts, very helpful up to the arrival and then letting us enjoy their beautiful space on our own. Had folks coming from everywhere and it was a nice central location with a nice beach nearby. House is in good condition, clean, lots of parking (we parked six cars) and plenty of space for everyone. Huge dining table in the ground floor allowed our entire group to eat together. Good restaurants, liquor store, supplies nearby – easy access by walking and with car access to even other areas. We would be glad to come back and thank you for the awesome time!!! NY International Lighthouse Film Festival 5/5 My husband and I stayed at Beach House Retreats during the Lighthouse Film Festival in June 2013 and had a fantastic time. They took great care of us and made our stay in LBI easy and fun. The house is very comfortable, great for entertaining. There is a backyard with a grill that is just right for hanging out during the evening. The kitchen and upstairs family room are also definite highlights with a large kitchen table and a huge TV with some of the most comfortable couches I’ve ever sat in. There is always a great breeze running through too since the house is literally right next to the beach. The outdoor shower was a perfect way to rinse off after the beach and there were plenty of beach chairs. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating and we look forward to returning to LBI and Beach House Retreats soon. Thanks, Beach House Retreats!
