About the Space

With tons of natural light all day long, very high ceilings and a spacious open layout, filming here is ideal. I would describe my space as urban bohemian. It's trendy decor makes the space feel lived in and loved. The unique ceiling and exposed historical Chicago brick gives it a unique character. ✔ WIFI - RCN Fiber / high speed ✔ FREE & EASY STREET PARKING! ✔ 2-3 free parking spaces in the back of the building ONLY from 8pm to 8am - let me know before hand if you will need these spaces. ✔ HUGE 1300 sq ft loft. ✔ CLEAN & sanitized (even light switches) ✔ FULLY AIRED OUT between bookings. ✔ COZY & bright. ✔ FAMED, historic Chicago pink brick. ✔ PETS OK w/ prior approval. ✔ FULLY furnished ✔ HISTORY - This 1300 sq ft loft is located in a building built in 1890, and features Historical "Chicago Brick." ✔ TONS of natural light, but also gorgeous West Elm curtains if you need less light ✔ HARDWOOD floors throughout, ceramic tile in bathrooms ✔ SIZE - The apartment is honestly huge. Parking description

Onsite parking ONLY available from 7 or 8pm to 8am. Up to 4 cars, but it's a tight squeeze. Lots of free and metered street parking within a block. Can use the alley for load in/out if you can't nab a close spot.

Space has natural light

Lighting description

There are a lot of tall windows and natural light. I can NOT black it out with my lighter curtains, but can make it darker. The light, depending on the time of year, can be harsh during the morning when it's rising. Once it's higher up in the sky it will not cast shadows until when it's on the way down for a bit. During these times, it's comes into the windows at an angle. This can look really cool, but also can not, depending on what you're shooting. ;) The safest window during the summer would be 10am-4 or 5pm generally if you want to avoid shadows.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

We have had people video that found the AC to be okay, that it didn't make too much noise. You can't hear the neighbors. On occasion, a loud biker or something might drive by and be disruptive but we're in Chicago so that can happen anywhere, lol.

You are free to use the alley, we do it all the time. That can be easier if you do not find a parking space right out front.

Electrical system description

Outlets are placed right every 6ft. I'm unsure on the power rating. This is a residential space, so I wouldn't guess that it's a super powerful system.

General Rules

NO smoking NO loud noises NO parties NO alcohol NO excessive fluids (fake blood, water, etc) without prior consent NO large amounts of glitter/confetti or similar without prior consent. No adult filming Insurance policy required with me listed as additionally insured for liability, property damage, bodily injury and medical payments for myself and the property, but also for yourselves. Pets require prior approval If you think anything might not be acceptable in some places, just ask! I'm sure we can work something out.

I require liability coverage for any damages to my property or belongings. I also require the same for guests as well as medical/injury for guests.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

I have a few things that I just prefer to move myself if need be. I just ask that everything be put back where it was to start.

Security cameras and recording devices

Cameras record the hallway/stairwell in the building as well as the back door outside.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

For soft surfaces - they are sprayed with microban. All linens and items that can be washed are done so with a disinfectant. We are fully vaccinated as well.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Hand Sanitizer

The space has the following features:
