Our space has a big backyard with an outdoor shower and a patio containing a fire pit, grill and dining table. The inside of the home is pretty flexible in moving the layout and additionally, does not have too much furniture, as it is a summer home. This, I imagine, can make it easier to rearrange items for filming purposes (assuming it all gets moved back afterwards). In terms of unique features, we designed this home to resemble, in part, our childhood home in NY, while still retaining the beach-like features that make a cape cod summer home, a cape cod home. For example, the second floor, as well as the staircase leading up to it, are carpeted with a blue coloring that is not often found in a Cape Cod home. At the same time, the first floor has the brisk, hardwood flooring that makes the home feel fresh and open. We have decor such as paddles in the master bedroom to make it known that you are, in fact, a quick walk away from the ocean.
