"Superb rooftop jewel in NYC." With a balcony on either end, this unique rooftop atrium features a host of interesting plants and vines, and an urban skyline view. With interesting panoramic views of a nearby neo gothic church (seemingly a mini Notre Dame Cathedral) and the East Harlem skyline. There are plants galore growing in the space (changes seasonally) including a passionfruit vine, several banana palms, muscadine grape vines (no, we're not a winery, alas), and a dwarf pomegranate bush. We grow various fruit and vegetables through the year in flowerbeds and two hydroponic systems. The space features two outdoor balconies of 12sq ft each, as well as a fully-enclosed atrium greenhouse with an area of 420sq ft. This space sees stunning sunsets, putting the gold in golden hour, and is great for city skyline shoots, anything involving plant or agriculture, or anything requiring a quirky, bohemian, Hufflepuff vibe. This is the ultimate fatigue chic magic grotto treehouse for projects great and small. "Mini jungle against an urban landscape." As well as the impressive forest of varying vegetation, the space features two Tibetan singing bowls, a bamboo xiao flute, a kalimba, and a set of bar chimes in the space for meditation, ASMR or sound baths. There's also ready access to incense and Palo Santo. Always nice in the DoWiSeTrPla areas of NYC. The roof deck patios on either side of the central solarium feature patio furniture, sun loungers, wooden chairs, and an extendable grilling table. At night, Philips Hue Lighting is used throughout the space, and can be adjusted to your needs. There are also fairy lights in the passion fruit vine, and a long string of bulbs running around the roof of the space. Spot downlighting with variable brightness and colour temperature changes the space from cosy nest to moody neo noir in a heartbeat. There's a boho hammock setup against the Western wall, and a mini library to the East, just below the fig tree and the monstera. Our mid century modern coffee table comes laid with interesting books and trinkets. Our hygge hanging cocoon chair will have you happy as a hippy. Our elegant gilt throne and gold leaf cherub statue marble table are stolen straight from the Secret Garden. With a fae gypsy aesthetic halfway between a yoga studio, a Hogwarts herbology class, and a muesli commercial, our decor combines the teacups, tatami, and tanned hide of our household's British, Japanese and Texan roots. A palace of peace and tranquility with a flavour that is decidedly New York City with a serving of Narnia. This space connects directly to the living room of a residential apartment, so is probably not a great fit for public events. The atrium sits on top of a four floor walk-up with no elevator access. There is a short-haired dog living in the downstairs apartment. A video of the space during the golden hour is available here: https://youtu.be/7AAfntnaTmI

Even on the cloudy day, this was the location to be at with perfect lighting for my shoot. It worked out since anything indoors in NYC, on a cloudy day, doesn’t provide enough natural light. I did a lingerie shoot here. The photographer even loved it! Will was super nice as well and friendly. Thank you!

Superb rooftop jewel in NYC. Such a lovely space with impeccable lighting from the dear sun. Does get a little toasty but the owners kept us hydrated. So many wonderful options for shoots with a mini jungle against an urban landscape. Small parking lot two apartments down from the building. Fourth floor walkup but you already knew that if you read the listing. It's my goal to now get Roxie(the pup) to like us. What a sweet dog. (She's timid, not mean).
