COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

Cleaning and Disinfecting At our office and studio, we follow CDC guidelines, with cleaning and disinfecting done daily and immediately following the visit of every guest. Commonly used surfaces including door handles, common area tables and restrooms are specifically tended to. Two hand-washing stations are available and hand disinfectant is located in multiple areas in the studio. Production Equipment Where possible, equipment is not shared among staff in order to minimize contact. A single person is dedicated to handling cameras, lights or sound equipment. When it is necessary for the crew to share, equipment gloves are worn. In the case production equipment is used by our client and talent such as microphones, we do not share mics. Each person has a dedicated mic that is disinfected with alcohol wipes before and after use, or the equipment remains untouched for 3 days. Clients are shown how to mic themselves to avoid any contact or close proximity to staff. Clients uncomfortable with touching production equipment may opt to utilize overhead boom mics and have zero contact with equipment. Social Distancing & Operations Our studio is 2,000 sq ft, 20′ ceilings and allows ample room for talent and camera crew to remain safely spaced. The studio has an HVAC system sperate from the rest of the building as well as two hospital grade air filters. If necessary, we can also arrange for you to enter the studio from a secondary entrance and have entirely no contact with staff. Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
Disposable gloves
Disposable masks / face coverings
Hand Sanitizer

About the Space

Great size Production Studio features a beautiful two-wall cyclorama, (also known as a cyc wall or infinity wall). Our 30’ x 30’ x 25’ studio is one of the largest production spaces in Madison. It’s located in an even larger room with 50’ of usable shooting depth and a second level balcony that allows for top down and overhead shots and easy rigging. The studio is accessible at ground level with drive-in load-in for hightop vans or trucks. We are also just a short drive from a number of lighting and grip rentals that offer equipment drop-off onsite. Beyond the studio, a adjacent rooms offers space for use as a control room, and an additional room is set up comfortably for client monitoring, hair and makeup, wardeobe, edit sessions or and a talent green room. A large restroom and dressing room is located just outside the studio. When we aren’t using the studio ourselves, the cyc wall is available to rent by the day. It is well suited to other video production professionals and photographers.

Parking description

Our studio parking lot has about a dozen spots and there is always ample free street parking. Production vehicles and grip trucks may also load in at ground level at the back of the building.

Space has natural light

Lighting description

There is natural light in the front office for hair and makeup. The studio space however primarily uses controlled lighting only as there are no windows. You may open the loading doc door but it is open air.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

The studio is insolated and provides nice acoustics however you will need to hold for sound for occasional disturbances from a loud jet or train. The studio and main office have their own ACs. Most choose to cut the studio AC when recording audio. It is commercial grade and is responsive when turned on between takes etc.

There is a back entrance to the building. You may pull your production vehicle into the space if you like or unload right behind our building.

Electrical system description

We have 8 20amp circuits in the studio space (more in the front office). From our experience each circuit can support a 2k Fresnel or similar. For greater power needs we recommend bringing in a generator.

General Rules

- We follow CDC, as well as local mask-wearing guidelines - Studio is generally available 8am to 6pm when booked (up to 10 hours) - You may provide your own craft services or we can make arrangements for you

All ages are allowed in the space

Production insurance is required

Production crews must have coverage for their own equipment and crew. 1,000,000 liability.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

You are welcome to use chairs, stools and furniture we have on hand on-set.

Smoke machines are allowed

No nudity allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

We have a security system in place at the building entrances.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
