About the Space

Welcome to Openview Shoot Location! As featured on a few occassions on 'Houzz' and Sarah Beeny's 'Renovate don't Relocate' for our quirky flooring and country-chic style moveable kitchen island, this house is no stranger to film and photo shoots, having been used for many projects such as this giff gaff comercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtbAVnlws6k This eclectic, rustic, colourful and modern 1930's house/ family home is in Southwest London, recently renovated with a contemporary rear extension, loft conversion and an architecturally designed, very spacious & natural light filled openplan kitchen/ dining area. The kitchen island is fully movable - enabling you to create the space you want - spilling out in to our newly landscaped garden/ outdoor living space, with built in seating, a fold away, full-size table tennis table and fire pit. We also have a boudoir grand piano on the ground floor, also fully moveable. The kids/ teenage bedrooms on the first floor have quirky design features (such as secret 'mousehole' passage; think the wardrobe in The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe linking the kids bedrooms through their wardrobes) with their own monochrome bathroom and a serene en-suite master bedroom on the top floor. The living room can be divided from the rest of the ground floor with sliding pocket doors, should there be a need to create a separate area. We are happy to have walls redecorated, with prior consent and provided they are returned to their original state, unless agreed otherwise. We are also happy to hire out our retro 1980's Mercedes car for shoots. Paid for street parking is readily available directly outside our property. We are very close to Earlsfield and Wandsworth Common overground stations and not too far away from Balham, Tooting Bec & Tooting Broadway underground stations as well as being near to a host of amenities on Garratt Lane. Our meticulously clean home is ideal for small crew shoots.

We will produce photographic evidence to prove the car / owner RUBBISH NO RUBBISH IS TO BE LEFT ON THE STREET / FRONT OF HOUSE Please use the bin in the kitchen to dispose of all rubbish being careful to correctly separate recycling from general rubbish. All recycling should be rinsed clean before disposing of it Spare bin & recycling bags are found in the Kitchen Island drawer opposite the kitchen sink. All rubbish is to be taken with you and removed from the property after a day's work, but please discuss with the location manager should this not be possible FLOOR PROTECTION Please use floor protecting mats and coverings. Spare tennis balls can be found in a plastic bag under the stairs, please place these on all tripods, camera stands and lighting equipment feet to avoid scratching the floors. We recommend you don’t use any sticky floor protection FOOD Eating and drinking in the location is limited to the kitchen area only please. Please try to avoid leaving cups of coffee/tea around the property and have a ‘clean as you go’ approach SHOES No shoes to be worn on any carpeted areas/ upstairs in the property SMOKING No smoking inside the property. Smoking is allowed in the garden, but cigarette butts must be disposed of safely in the ashtray provided and not thrown around the garden or over any fences HEATING The house heating is worked via an app and so we ask you not to touch any heating dials. If the house Is not warm enough or is too hot, we ask you to please contact the location manager and ask them to amend the heating RECREATIONAL DRUGS Under no circumstances are any drugs to be taken at the property. If there is anyone caught taking drugs or any evidence of drug use, we will notify the police. We will also charge the client a penalty of £500 HAZE / SMOKE MACHINE The location manager needs to know beforehand if haze/ smoke machines are going to be used. We ask that all precautions are taken to not damage anything but also to remove the smoke detectors batteries beforehand. There are 3 detectors; one in the kitchen, one on the middle landing and one outside the master bedroom on the top floor. ALL batteries must be returned and tested that they are working before leaving the property. A fine will be implemented if this is not done. At no time should our smoke detectors go off and disturb the neighbours. It’s a good idea to air the property by opening the back and front doors briefly to allow smoke to leave the property when finished SOUND / DISTURBANCE We ask all our clients shooting any moving image and or music videos to keep the playback volume to a minimum sound level, and to be respectful of our neighbours. Loud music will not be tolerated. Also when in the garden please be considerate of your noise levels when loading and unloading or shooting in the garden WALL HANGINGS & FURNITURE Nothing is to be moved or taken off the walls without prior arrangement with the agent or location manager PROPS We provide a lot of props throughout the house. The stylists and or production members are responsible to return these to the correct rooms and the correct places. Anything that is missing will also be billed. We ask you to take care when packing up that anything of ours is not packed up with your kit and equipment CATERING When external catering has been used, someone must check that none of our cutlery / utensils goes back to them. Please check before the end of the day. Or we will be providing a bill for anything missing. No food in the fridge or the cupboards is to be used, unless by prior agreement. Please do not leave food on site or in the fridge, this needs to be removed from the property, or thrown in the bin CLEANING We ask you to please leave the house as found - clean and tidy. We do allow the kitchen utensils to be used. We expect everything to be returned in the correct places. All dirty items must be loaded into the dishwasher and please put it on before leaving the property. Bins all cleared and disposed of. This includes all the bathroom bins where applicable COVID We can only allow the working team / shoot crew on site - no friends or entourage allowed on site. We will be ensuring that only the number that is quoted on the booking is on site, through-out the day. We have to insist on this for the safety of not only yourselves (the client) but also of the family that lives at the residence. ADDITIONAL COVID GUIDELINES What are we providing at the location: - Antibacterial soap / anti bac sanitiser - Disposable paper towels - Paper plates / paper cups / disposable cutlery - Deep cleaning before and after every shoot - including all touch points (handles, handrails, light switches, etc.) - Within reason, as long as shoots are rescheduled right away, we can offer some flexibility on rescheduling dates due to illness or any changes in the government announcements, depending on availability What we are asking of our clients: - Clear communication to location manager, regarding finishing time - To dispose of all rubbish bags, including bathroom bins, - Dispose of paper plates and paper cups in recycling. - Load the dishwasher and switch on. This may need to go on more than once if a large amount is used. No washing up, all into the dishwasher and put on a hot cycle. - The right PPE equipment to be provided by the client and all the team to wear. Including disposable gloves, filter masks. - Health checks/ lateral flow tests and temperatures to be taken before the shoot. Team members to be held responsible for announcing if experiencing any covid/ cold or flu symptoms. General rules Parking / Street area - we cannot annoy the neighbours, so must consider where they are parking - not across driveways and no hanging out on the street for any long periods of time. Loading into the house needs to be quick and concise. If some rooms are not going to be used we would like to know in advance and ask if these rooms could be left alone with doors shut so we have less to deep clean after every shoot. No problem if the whole house is being shot in but also good for us to know. No smoking at all in the house. No smoking on the street near the house or around the house. We ask for understanding around this situation as we don't want cigarette butts around the property or in our rubbish. Smoking is only permitted in the back yard where an ashtray is provided.
