Welcome to Bechdel Project Headquarters! Bechdel Project is a feminist non-profit located on the top floor of a 1930s potato chip factory now operating as artists’ lofts in the heart of Greenpoint's TV & Film studios. When we’re not busy dismantling the patriarchy, we love to host fellow creatives in our space. We’ve been proud to provide location for large productions like Apple TV, CBS, MTV & Republic Records as well as for smaller indie crews and students. The western facing windows catch the sun perfectly in the early evening making "golden hour" in this studio especially beautiful. We have 2 dogs here at the loft named Shani and Millie. They usually remain in their kennels at all times during rentals; however, if you or your crew are dog lovers they are ALWAYS happy to come out and meet people. Just ask us! Treats provided :) 2. While the property is located on a fairly quiet street, the building and room are not sound proofed. 3. We are located on the 3rd floor of a walk up building with no elevator. Please be advised in case anyone on your team has mobility issues! 4. Please make your crew aware of our COVID protocols in advance. We have vulnerable people on the premises.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

We require all guests to wear masks in all public areas of the property regardless of vaccination status. We clean high touch surfaces as well as disinfect soft surfaces. The space is regularly ventilated and aired out to make sure there is proper circulation. Hand sanitizer is available to guests as well as soap at all sinks for hand washing. *These protocols are subject to change based on CDC recommendations and the ever evolving situation regarding COVID and COVID variants*

Cancellation Policy

Flexible

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
