Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures
The house will be professionally cleaned between bookings, with safe, non-toxic products
Enhanced cleaning measures:
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
- Disposable gloves
- Disposable masks / face coverings
- Hand Sanitizer

About the Space
The Van Reed Farmstead is a breath taking place of historic charm and beauty. It is an Indiana landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This 10 room brick home is circa 1856 and was built in the Greek Revival style. With soaring ceilings, tall windows, original woodwork and large rooms, this house is a dream come true for your project. The house also has two large porches, each with gorgeous views of the property. In addition to the house, there is a large bank barn with a stacked stone foundation (interior repairs currently underway), 2 metal grain bins, a metal pole barn and an original brick summer kitchen. The gently sloping 10 acres of this property were originally used as pasture land and a small orchard. This is a pristine sanctuary for birds and local wildlife.

Lighting description
All of the rooms have very large windows. There are curtains in the upstairs bedrooms but none on the ground floor. The amazing natural light is one of the best features of the house.

The house is very quiet, as it is on a private 10 acres out in the country. There is the sounds of birds and the occasional car on the road.

The entry to the home is through one of three doors. There are 3 stairs to enter.

Right now, the interior of the barn is under construction and not accessible or safe for shooting.

There are outlets in every room and the circuit box is in the cellar of the home.

General Rules
We expect our home and outbuildings to be treated with care and be left in the same condition in which you found them. There is no smoking in any of the buildings, or anywhere in the vicinity of the wooden barn due to high risk of fire damage. Any smoking materials must be disposed of in a container with water, as the tall grasses can be very dry during the summer months.
If you are filming or doing photography with a crew, you are required to have a certificate of insurance to use the property, as is standard in the industry. You will be required to provide this certificate on the day you are using the space.
No animals are allowed in the home or on the property without prior consent from the host. You may only move furniture or wall hung artwork with permission from the host. If you do move anything, please do so with care, so as not to scratch the floors. If you are using heavy rolling equipment, such as cameras or light, please lay down heavy paper on the floors. Putting nails or screws in the walls is not permitted. Charges for any damage to the property will be charged to the renter, per the Peerspace terms and conditions.
Please factor set up and tear down time into your rental hours. Overtime will be billed in half hour increments at our full hourly rate. Because we do not have a trash hauling service, renters will need to take all trash offsite with them when they leave the property.
All ages are allowed in the space
Production insurance is required
Standard certificate of insurance is required, as is standard for the industry. If a photographer is using the home for pictures without a crew, we can consider waiving this requirement.
Furniture and decorations may be moved
Furniture, decorations and hanging art work may only be removed with prior permission of the homeowners. Care must be used not to scratch floors or damage items being moved. Everything must be returned to its original place when finished.
