The schoolhouse is a historic dwelling nestled on a hillside in the iconic Catskills of Upstate New York — just 2 hours from NYC. The home has a historic foundation and structure, with the bell tower, cast iron bell, entryway, tin ceiling and 19th century wavy glass windows all being original to its 1850 establishment. The interior, however, has been updated with modern design and amenities. The one-room layout of the schoolhouse's origin makes for high ceilings and an open floor plan. The elevated nature of the home provides incredible views of the Delaware River Valley — with every season and sometimes every day offering a different, unique view. The home is surrounded by 34 acres of Catskill forest. The elevated hillside, hardwood trees and natural rock formations provide an incredible wooded landscape. Also on the property is a large two-story garage that is a pop of red color against the lush green forest. The property has many viewpoints from inside and outside the home, with the highlights being the sun setting over the river view and the moodiness of fog the valley can bring.
