About the Space
Historic four-story house built, in the Art Deco style, in 1910. Recently bought by a non-profit organization working for gender equity and women's economic empowerment, awaiting renovation but in good condition for film and photo shoots and more. By renting this space, you will be supporting our mission. Art Deco details, hardwood floors, lots of light especially on the top (4th) floor. The rooms are about 400 sf each. Some have minimal furniture; you may move them around but please return them to their place when you finish. You can choose either the pink "Cathedral" room on the 4th floor and/or the "Living room" on the 2nd floor for exclusive use; you may be able to use the bathroom on floor 4 (without water in the tub) depending on whether the other room is occupied; you may also use the 2nd floor green dining room, however granting access to the kitchen to others in the building. In addition, you may use the ground floor "Garden room" for storage, set-up etc. There is no elevator in the building.

Taina and Liisa are incredible hosts, we felt very welcome by both of their presence. The house has 4 floors with ample of open space comfortably enough to fit 15-20 people to get the shoot done. This house was exactly the Americana vibe we were searching for and provided the best pricing compare to other rental houses available. It does feel dark during the day, so we would recommend to prepare good lighting for team members to ensure they can get the most affective work done. Besides that all the electric plug was effective and can withhold all our lighting equipment! We would definitely recommend this shoot location to our peers in the nearby future.
