Additional rules PLEASE REVIEW ALL OF THE HOUSE RULES BEFORE BOOKING. By making a reservation, you are entering into an agreement to adhere to all of the House Rules below, which takes effect at time and date of check-in and ends at check-out. This House Rules agreement is NOT a lease and conveys no rights in real property at any time. Your use is limited to the House Rules defined herein. 1. NO EXTRA GUESTS. You may not exceed the number of guests than what's on the reservation at any time without prior approval. No additional guests are allowed to ENTER the property at any time. You must get approval if you wish to have any visitors that are not on the reservation. Failure to follow this rule will result in immediate cancellation without refund. There is an added $25/night fee for each guest after the 4th to cover extra cleaning and amenity usage. 2. NO EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECK-OUT. Check-in is 4pm and after. Check-out is by 11am. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to accommodate any early check-in or late check-out requests due to the enhanced cleaning regimen required to properly clean and sanitize the home according to CDC protocols for your health and safety. 3. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS. No exceptions. This is strictly monitored at check-in. Reservation will be cancelled without refund if guests do not adhere to this rule. We have vintage furniture pieces and the homeowners don't even allow their small dogs to enter this home! There will be a $250 charge for anyone not honoring this guideline. 4. NO SMOKING OR BURNING CANDLES. This is a non-smoking home. Any and all smoking should be kept outdoors at least 15 feet away from any exterior doors. There will be a $250 charge for anyone not honoring this guideline. 5. Please be respectful of our neighbors! Follow our Good Neighbor Policy of no outside noise after 10pm and before 8am. Guests must refrain from any outdoor music, noise or other disruptions that may cause a disturbance to the community during quiet hours. Failure to respect quiet hours after an initial warning may result in cancellation of your reservation without refund. 6. Keep doors closed AT ALL TIMES. There are many creatures in the desert, including mice and rats, that can easily enter the home if doors are open and cause infestation and damage. Please be responsible and keep all doors closed (sliding doors, back doors and windows when not home). 7. No professional photoshoots or video shoots without prior approval. If you’re interested in doing a photoshoot or shooting a video, please let us know what it is for. You must get approval beforehand! If approved, we have an additional fee for licensing and usage. Unauthorized use of the rental property's name, address or images (interior, exterior, or property surroundings) for any commercial, business, sales, or promotional use in any print or electronic media is unlawful and will be pursued to the full extent of the law. 8. No special events such as parties or weddings are allowed without prior written approval. 9. Guests shall allow access to property management vendors or workers during their stay for landscaping, maintenance, trash removal, any necessary repairs and inspection of premises. 10. No glitter or confetti allowed. Please remove all decorations, if any, by check-out time at 11am on day of checkout. 11. Please clean up after yourself. Excessive mess is a $500 cleaning charge. Thank you in advance for treating the home as if it were your own. :) 12. Illegal or abusive use of the internet is strictly prohibited. 13. Reschedule requests will be handled the same as our cancellation policy. 14. You must acknowledge there is surveillance recording on the property - ring doorbell at front entrance and security cameras in the property. There are no recording devices that face the private, enclosed backyard. 15. Only maximum of four cars are allowed to park on the property. 16. Please be respectful of the space. There is unique, vintage furniture and decor throughout the home. We value honesty... If something breaks, please let us know. If we discover an item is broken, damaged or missing without any prior written notice, we will charge a replacement fee of $100 per item in addition to the actual cost to replace or repair items. If total cost exceeds the deposit amount, we will bill your credit card or collect the funds through the Resolution Center to cover replacement costs of damaged, missing, or broken items. 17. All houses in Joshua Tree are on a Septic Tank system. For this reason nothing can be flushed down the toilet except toilet paper. Following these guidelines will avoid problems with the plumbing. If it is determined that the pipes have been clogged due to misuse, a $200 repair fee will be charged. 18. Please drop shades each time you leave the property. Shades are meant to be operated strictly with the remotes or wall switches. The sun is very strong and dropping the shades will help keep the property cool. Please make sure there is NOTHING IN THE PATH OF THE SHADES SO YOU DAMAGE THE SHADES . We will charge $500 for any damage to the shades. 19. Do not set air conditioner below 70 or it could freeze the coil and the cooling will stop! Please do not use the unit if any windows are open. 20. Please leave AC running during the summer when you leave the property or check out. The amount of glass doors / widows on the property can cause it to heat up quickly. 21. SPA: Please do not remove the tub cover from the rocker and be sure to close the cover when you are finished with your soak. The cover regulates the water temperature and ensures that the water temperature is hot for the next use. Thank you for your cooperation. Failure to follow any of the House Rules will be considered a breach of contract resulting in immediate cancellation of reservation without refund and/or withholding part or all of the deposit in addition to any damages sought.
