About the Space
Tomalinlightworks is a beautiful photography and videography studio just off the M60 in Stockport. Designed with dance photographers in mind, our wooden panel floor with grippy matt paint is a great performance floor for comfortable movement. With a cool, industrial look and huge windows, we are a perfect destination for dance, fashion, portrait and editorial shoots. For photographers who want that control we have a wide range of continuous, studio lighting and backdrops. We offer: Bowens studio lighting and modifiers Arri, DeSisti and Quasar Science continuous lighting High ceilings, big windows and a cool industrial look Hand painted canvas + Coloroma backdrops After-hours access Make-up bay Steamer, clothing rails and make-up mirrors 35mm SLR, medium format and digital camera hire Music, wi-fi, tea & coffee and sofa area On-site and on-road free parking All hire times include setup/pack down at the beginning and end of your session. Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

- Capacity is limited based on governmental guidelines
- Narrow passages have arrows for bi-directional traffic

Josh was honestly such a great studio host! Everything worked out so seamless, he stayed in the studio while we were there so whenever we needed a hand he was more than happy to assist us. Can’t forget to mention the huge tall windows which let in amazing natural light and seeing the sunset was also a plus! Will definitely be renting this studio again

Fantastic space, large, impeccably tidy and flooded with natural light! Josh provided assistance and professionalism, ensuring my setup was flawless, the lighting was just right, and the addition of a hot drinks station was a lovely touch. Highly recommended!

Josh was absolutely incredible and the studio space was beautiful. Josh was waiting to show us around when we arrived and made sure we had everything we would need for the session. Then he met us after the rental time and checked in with how it all went, 10/10 for hospitality! The studio space was beautiful and the natural light coming into the studio space made such beautiful colors! We rented around 12pm and it was perfect for photo taking. I would highly recommend this studio!

Thank you so much for allowing us to use your wonderful space for our shoot. Josh is a fantastic host, very welcoming and friendly and extremely knowledgeable on lighting specifics. The space is bright, clean and well equipped, with lots of exciting areas for some interesting shots. Would highly recommend, and hope to be back soon!
