About The Dope Spot Studios

Our studio is a uniquely converted Garage located on Residential Property. Our housing program is one that provides housing for Artists and Musicians, so having a studio on the premises has been very beneficial for our tenants, locals and the surrounding communities. Our studio is located a few blocks from Downtown Pomona where there are a variety of venues, bars, restaurants and the historic Arts Colony. Inside, we have 3 total rooms: a Main Area, Control Room, and an Isolation/Vocal Booth. When booking our space, we can provide the appropriate equipment for Music Recording, Podcast Recording and other equipment (such as a PA System) and props for videos or photos.

Parking description

Street parking is always available. The studio is located on Residential property, so off-street parking is subject to availability depending on how many tenants of the property are parked in the driveway. However, there is almost always room for at least 2 cars in addition to the Residents' cars. There are a few nearby parking lots as well if needed.

Lighting description

There are 2 windows in the space that can be covered with curtains. There is also a Security Screen Door on the Front Door of the studio. Some people open the door and leave the screen door closed to get more natural light.

Space is soundproof

Ambient noise description

We are not on a busy street. So the noise levels are very minimal. When the A/C unit is on, the outside unit cannot be heard inside the studio. However, keep in mind that our studio is a converted garage with large double doors. These doors are covered with Audio Blankets, but you may hear some very light sounds of the birds outside or airplanes overhead. But overall, the sound is very minimal and our studio is acoustically treated with the surrounding environment in mind.

Electrical system description

There are several ares for power in the studio space. As far as how much power can be used without tripping the breaker switches, we're not entirely sure, but the breaker is easily accessible on the outside of the studio if we needed to reset any flipped switches.

General Rules

There is no smoking inside the studio space, but guests can smoke outside in the backyard or side area. Food and Drinks are allowed ONLY in the Main Area. Food and Drinks are NOT allowed in the Control Room or the Vocal Booth with the exception of Bottled Water. The Doors of the studio must remain closed at all times. The studio is located on Residential Property and keeping the studio doors closed will prevent any excessive noise. The only activities allowed in the studio are for Multimedia Purposes only. These activities include Audio Recording, Videography, Photography and Podcast Sessions.

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Furniture may be moved from one section of the studio to another, but may not be removed from the building entirely. Wall decorations may not be moved.

Smoke machines are allowed

No nudity allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

The space has 3 rooms... The Main Room, The Control Room and The Isolation booth. All 3 rooms will have a security camera that is on and recording at all times for the security of our space and equipment.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

The space is thoroughly cleaned before and after each booking. There will be PPE items in place to use during your booking as well.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

Disposable masks / face coverings
Hand Sanitizer
