Welcome | Our space is a sunny Brownstone upper duplex with historic-meets-modern details that is approximately 1,400 sqft spread over two floors. The Garden apartment can be potentially used as well - please inquire over message. We own the entire building. The decor is clean, modern design that is thoughtfully curated onto a Victorian architectural backdrop. Bookings include cleaning fee and access to: TOP FLOOR - an original staircase leading up to the top floor complete with a Red and Blue stained glass skylight *stair hall is still being restored but is still valuable as a backdrop. - a south facing open plan KITCHEN + DINING ROOM with three 5 foot tall windows with light filtering shades framing the canopy of a beautiful, large Oak tree in the backyard that makes you feel like you live in a treehouse. The DINING ROOM area has custom Birch plywood floating shelves styled with a variety of colorful cookware and ceramics designed and built by our studio. Overhead is a vintage Noguchi light fixture hung above a mid-century schoolhouse table with a mix of seating. A 70's Orange lounge chair is tucked in the corner nook by the window. The KITCHEN is a minimally modern galley style set up with track lighting and stainless steel appliances including a 24" Smeg gas range, 24" Blomberg refrigerator, 18" dishwasher, industrial style sink and thick Maple butcher block counters.. There is a skylight being installed on the left that lets in great natural light. - a BATHROOM that is awash in natural light from the daisy etched skylight above. Complete with modern elements like an all white shower area with deep soaking tub and rainfall showerhead. The 1940's sink is a pale yellow with expressive chrome fixtures topped with a vintage round medicine cabinet. - a north facing BEDROOM + NURSERY that is awash with cool light in the afternoon, featuring three 5 foot tall windows with blackout shades. The NURSERY area has a beautiful European natural wood crib, a white-washed West Elm modern changing table, a small closet with hanging storage, a Noguchi hanging light fixture and custom floating book shelves made by our studio. The BEDROOM boasts a king-sized bed with ivory cotton sheets and linen bedskirt. There is an Ivory upholstered glider, grass woven bassinet on a wooden rocking base and two floating nightstands by Vitsoe. There is also a Samsung Frame tv hung on the wall. PARLOR LEVEL - A historic Brownstone stoop leading up to an ornately detailed front entrance with 8 foot tall original doors, a multi-colored mosaic vestibule floor and a stair hall flush with original Eastlake millwork detail. *stair hall is still being restored but is still valuable as a backdrop. - A parlor level LIVING ROOM that is north facing with 10 foot high ceilings, ornate Eastlake style window trim adorning 7 foot windows, a working fireplace with a slate Eastlake style mantle, large Noguchi hanging light fixture and 6 feet of floor to ceiling Vitsoe shelving complete with record player. - A parlor level OFFICE/FAMILY ROOM that is south facing with a backyard view starring a large, beautiful Oak tree. The space is adjoined to the front living room space via 1940's White french doors and shares similar details that include 10 foot high ceilings and ornate Eastlake style white window trim adorning 7 foot windows. On one wall is 8 feet of floor to ceiling Vitsoe shelving complete with projector and art books floating above a custom couch designed and built by our studio. On the opposite wall there is 5 feet of Vitsoe shelving used as a desk unit and an exposed brick chimney. - A parlor level modern utility BATHROOM adjoined to the Office/Living Room complete with washer/dryer and bathtub. Its a great space for crew use and wet prep i.e. flowers All interior room crown molding, window trim and walls are painted White. The stair hall walls are painted white with stained molding and door trim. Original antique cast iron radiators adorn each space.
