This Country House is in the geographic center of The Valley of the Moon (what Jack London named Sonoma Valley), near Old Glen Ellen, South of Kenwood and North of the historic Sonoma Plaza. Two stately palms mark the entrance to what was originally a carriage house, where travelers would change horses, prior to auto transport becoming common. The Valley is narrowest here, with the Mayacamas mountains to the East and the appropriately named Heaven Hill to the West, there are many cozy places around the property to sit with a view or have a private conversation. There is also a private Pool, hot tub, gardens and fire pit. A 15 foot redwood-slab table under a grape arbor may boost creativity at your next board meeting or just provide a rustic location for an elegant catered lunch or dinner, as it was designed. The house is surrounded by world class wineries, dining, spas, history and nature. It is a great getaway year round to use as a base for meetings and team events. A couple minutes from the house: Abbot's Passage Benzinger, Hamel, Eric Ross, BR Cohn, Imagery, Arrowwood, Mayo, Little Family, Laurel Glen and Paint Horse. Jack London State Park, Sonoma Regional Park and many hiking and Mt. Biking trails are accessible right out the front door. We have had everything from yoga classes to sales team meetings to small wedding ceremonies (15 people) held at the property.
