Beautiful antique country home surrounded by 11 acres. Built in 1719 this lovely home features gourmet kitchen, 5 fireplaces, enclosed porch (fully heated with a lovely sitting area), living room, media room with pool/ping pong table, two outdoor fire pits and a 9 person hot tub. There are hand hewn, 300 year old exposed beams throughout. The master bedroom and bath are also original to the home but remodeled to provide a comfortable, more open feel with cathedral ceilings and and a crystal chandelier. Decorated with an eclectic flair, it is warm and homey with cool, quirky places filled with decor of religious significance from Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, Wicca, Santoria and Voodoo just to name a few. It’s a little weird, somewhat gypsy and a lot magic. The property is adjacent to a nature preserve with hiking trails which can be accessed directly from the property. It has several large, open, flat spaces outdoors, separated by ancient stone walls and grape vines. A stream bisects the property and there is a foot bridge, two additional fire pits, an abandoned log cabin (rumored to have been built by the screen writer from the Little Rascals in the 1920s), a tree house and a 300 year old cemetery (26 graves dating back to the 1700s and one unmarked, unnamed grave (which is a whole other story)). There are private trails on site for hiking, biking or off-roading. Additional living and sleeping space can be provided at an additional fee.
