About the Space

Our space is a historic building 5 minutes East of Downtown Los Angeles. The space has been specially configured for photo + film productions and can easily feel like multiple locations under one roof. The space is great for all kinds of productions: commercials/advertising, TV, films, photography, e-commerce, fitness videos, product photography, etc. We've had the opportunity to host several productions for NBC, VIACOM, MTV, HBO, GLAMOUR, NETFLIX, COMEDY CENTRAL, NICKELODEON, FORD, E!, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, BET, CELEBRITIES, & SPECIAL EVENTS. About us - we are creatives ourselves and love hosting other creative endeavors. We care for the space like our home, she's an old building and requires a little care. When the space is not booked the space is typically used to develop our personal work in interior styling, wardrobe styling, and set design. ______________________________________________________________ Studio Info: ***(PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY BEFORE BOOKING)*** PLEASE NOTE: All booking start and end times are inclusive of setup and tear downtime, so please include that in your reservation. If you’re interested in multi-day shooting, please note there is an additional fee for displacement. *The posted price per hour is for a crew of 20 people max including crew & talent. Larger productions are welcome, we just need to discuss details regarding size and pricing. Please include the following: *Total number of crew & talent *Desired date(s) *Exact hours you will need (ie. 7 am-7 pm) including load-in/load-out, setup, and tear-down GETTING HERE: Main Entrance is the RED doors across the street from Jack in the Box. Call us upon arrival. PARKING: Free street parking right in front of the studio (Avenue 26). Weekdays from 9 am-4 pm. No parking from 7am-9am & 4pm-6pm (Wednesday mornings no parking 7am-10am). You can still load/unload in front during gridlock hours. Keep your hazards on, ensure activity, and do not leave vehicles unattended. Weekends free parking ALL DAY. Please reference the last image for parking. There is additional parking 1 block away all day on Workman St (beind Rite-Aid, pay attention to street cleaning days/times). Please do not park in Jack in the Box, we are not responsible for them towing. SCOUTING: We are happy to accommodate an initial location scout. We will only accommodate (1) scout prior to a booking reservation being made (30 min max). A tech/Director Scout will be charged at our hourly rate. All scouts are subject to availability, and we will not accommodate scouts during other guests' reservations/productions. OVERTIME: If you go over your booking time, you will be charged time and a half. We're happy to offer a 20-min grace period for load-out, but do not allow early arrivals. FURNITURE: Please note the furniture availability will be stated on the bottom right of the photos. (Some images are from previous productions that have brought in their own props & furniture) Furniture on studio floors is inclusive. You are free to move anything around but it must be put back where it was upon leaving. SOUND QUALITY: Our space is not sound-proof. For those recording sound, we highly advise scheduling a scout prior to booking to determine if the space will work for you. CLIMATE: The building is over 100 years old and does not have heating nor AC. Please keep in mind, the space has been very cold this winter season so please dress accordingly and consider bringing your own heating sources. (We do have 2 heaters) PERMITTING: We are in the FILM LA permit zone so please be responsible for obtaining the appropriate permits for your production. Please see www.filmla.com for more info. DAMAGE: Accidents happen, but we do require that all guests inform us if anything is damaged during their use. A walk-through is required before and after all bookings. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. CYC WALL: If you need to have a clean cyc wall then please let us know in advance. We do charge an additional cleaning and maintenance fee of $50 to paint the cyc if used. ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES: The use or involvement of illegal substances is strictly prohibited and will result in eviction from the property and may result in law enforcement participation. NO SMOKING: This building is a 100% SMOKE-FREE ZONE, including both private and communal areas and the unit itself. _______________________________________________________________ FAQ Does the building have AC? No, the building does not have AC but we do have 1 large industrial fan and multiple medium-sized fans, and 1 swamp cooler that helps. We just got our roof insulated as of October 2019 so the space is MUCH cooler as a result. What is the parking like? Please read ‘Parking Info’ above. Are there any other parking lots available for larger productions? Do you have an elevator? Yes, we have a hydro-powered freight elevator with 2500 lb capacity. 6.5' x 6.5'. Please confirm that the elevator is operational when making your reservations. We are constantly maintaining it since its 100+ years old. What is your power capacity? We have 3-phase power (200 amps) How tall are your ceilings? 12 ft. to the bottom of the truss Is production allowed to move the furniture? Yes, production is able to move the furniture but proceed with caution and care. Must be placed back where found. Do you have a coffee maker? Yes Do you have a steamer and rolling rack? Yes, we have a (2) large heavy duty rolling racks and (1) steamer, and (1) iron with an ironing board. What supplies do you have on hand? 3 extension cords: 50 ft, 2 power strips 3 Ladders: 3 step, 4 ft, and 12 ft 4 folding tables, Bluetooth Speaker Is production able to blackout the three skylights if needed? Yes. Please let us know in advance. Is there roof access? No, production is not allowed to shoot on the roof due to safety precautions Is there a coffee shop nearby? Btwenty Four 2.5 blocks away on Broadway. Does the studio have a speaker? Yes, we have a bluetooth sound system with 8 sonos speakers throughout the space. What floor is the studio on? The studio is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. 2nd floor has a kitchen and bathroom 3rd floor is the studio space

Cancellation Policy

Flexible

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

All Bookings are subject to Peerspace’s Grace Period policy which provides a full refund for Bookings cancelled within 24 hours from receipt of a Booking Confirmation but no later than 48 hours prior to the Event start time.
