Just a heads up, we are strict on a few policies to ensure everyone has a great experience! You agree to the following... - Absolutely no photo or video shoots without written permission. Personal is totally cool though and we encourage it! - Absolutely no events OR parties without written permission. If you have an event, you will be charged a minimum of $1200 and be asked to leave. - We do allow up to 2 pets. $100 for fist pet and $50 for second. If you do not disclose bringing an animal, there's a $500 charge. - Keep it clean. Be gentle. Be respectful. Be careful with the house and treat it as if it were your own. - Leave the house exactly how you found it when you checked in. - Pick up after yourself and load all dirty dishes into the dishwasher. - We have one of a kind, handmade and vintage pieces from all over the world. You agree to be careful with items in the house so everyone can keep enjoying them. - We have a Septic System for toilet use. Don’t discard anything in the toilet other than toilet paper because it will clog. - We live in a quiet neighborhood. No loud noises. We respect desert living. Keep our neighborhood peaceful. Sound carries incredibly far. No noise outside past 8:30pm. - Follow check out instructions before you leave. - This isn’t a house rule, but just a heads up… the desert is a very fragile place… respect her. No graffiti or art on the rocks, no hammocks on Joshua Tree’s (it destroys them), make sure trash gets thrown away (if not, it hurts the wildlife), this is a small town - we ask for kindness and being respectful. If any of these are not followed you agree that money will be taken out of your security deposit. Thank you for understanding! We want you to have the best time - now onto the fun stuff... SECURITY DEPOSIT - The owner may withhold all or part of the deposit up to $1600 if any of the house rules are broken, and may pursue legal action if damages or violations exceed the security deposit amount. SERVICE PROVIDERS - During your stay, you may encounter maintenance and upkeep staff of The Nabu House. Please allow them on to the property to do their jobs as scheduled. - Landscaper: Tuesday mid day - Propane Scheduled as needed - Pool: Tuesday mid day SECURITY CAMERAS - For security and insurance purposes, we have installed security cameras monitoring the entry doors and walkways and driveway up to the house. The cameras do not monitor the interior or outdoor living areas, and the feed is erased every few days for your privacy. LIABILITY WAIVER - By making your reservation you and the other members in your party as THE GUESTS agree to release THE HOSTS from all liability, including financial responsibility relating to injuries & personal property damage that may occur during your stay. You understand that using the pool, hiking and climbing anywhere on the property is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with using the pool and hiking and/or climbing. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising while on the property and hold owner harmless. POOL HEATING - Our pool can be heated, for $175 a day which is what we get charged by the gas company (gas is all run on propane tanks in the desert and is expensive) Once the pool heater is turned on, it heats up at 1 degree per hour until it reaches heated temperature. Please make sure to let us know in advance so we can make sure the pool is warm for you. PETS - not allowed unless there’s written permission, pet fee and pet rules are agreed to. If you bring a pet without the above completed you will be charged a $500 fee. Fees include: $100 for the first pet and $50 for the second - max 2 pets.
