About the Space
186 seat theater with lighting booth, stage, professional lighting grid and sound, backdrops, movie screen, piano available for use. Great space for children plays, off broadway plays, dance recitals, music recitals, movie screenings, large meetings or panels. We also have had after school programs use the space to run children's drama classes or weekend adult drama classes.

- The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels

This is my second time booking the Town School Theater for my film community. The space is beautiful and perfect for our needs. It's clean, tidy, organized, and in a beautiful area. When technical issues occurred that didn't happen during our first booking, our host Bethany was very communicative and quick to respond to help us out. Although we hit a few snags technically during this booking, we plan to come back. :)

I rented the theater out for my short film community, Short Cuts NYC. We used the space to screen our films and run Q+A. Bethany was incredibly responsive, so although she wasn't present the day of the event it went incredibly smoothly due to her communication and planning with us. Even with our own last-minute changes, she was very helpful in getting us what we needed for the booking. As for the space, it was clean and exactly as advertised. The tech worked wonders (although the stage for Q+As was a bit dark with mater lights all the way up--a shortcoming of my own communication, not the space's). I would (and plan to) book again!

We loved the space! Bethany did an incredible job at supporting us with all the logistics to ensure our event was phenomenal— in fact it was! The Town School was an incredible venue and I would recommend this space to anyone looking for a great venue with supportive staff!

Bethany is a pleasure to work with and the venue was nice. Its a comfortable theater, would be perfect for stage shows/presentations. I held a film screening and was overall happy with everything. The projection system isn't perfect, the film needed to run off a macbook, so that took a minute to figure out. The contrast on screen is low, so you may want to see the space first if you need cinema quality. For my purposes, , it worked out well.
