Charming European style house with character, amongst rural mature trees.

We built this home only three years ago but it was designed to look at least 100 years old! we get comments all the time about how authentic it looks to European architecture and design. I was born and raised in London and also visited Paris often and incorporated my love of both cities into the design of this home. The features throughout gives our home the charm and character that an older home displays. With the old brick work, crown moldings, pencil trim shadow boxes, old floor and wall tile, herringbone wood floors, chandeliers with medallions and three fireplaces, our house oozes the feeling of history. Unlike older homes, our clean crisp white walls gives it a very light and airy feel, ideal for photography and film shoots. The home is traditionally symmetrical, so the front door is in the middle of the home, with a tasteful entrance hall with wide stairs. Beautiful inviting Living room to the left leading to a large French Bistro style open plan kitchen to the back with a contemporary large skylight above! To the right it leads to a very spacious dining/piano area which leads to a glass wall to the right, displaying our attractive Laundry room. To the right of the front entrance hall is the beautiful and quaint, bed and breakfast like master bedroom/ ensuite bathroom with unique porcelain free standing tub. Further along the hall a wallpapered powder room. Upstairs is a huge square loft open area with couches and bedrooms surrounding the square landing. Other features in the upstairs area include wallpaper, a black free standing old fashioned bath tub, chair rails and antique pieces which allows the character and charm to continue to flow throughout! A large spacious theater/ ping pong/ gym, skate ramp room in the basement accommodates many guests for fun gatherings. Also a tasteful apartment on the other side of the basement includes a beautifully decorated large bedroom, farmhouse style kitchen, and elegant bathroom with a claw foot tub. We sit on an acre of beautiful land. The front yard has a sweeping semi circle gravel driveway with many mature trees either side. The back yard has approx 185 mature trees of many species making it feel like an English secret garden. It is fully enclosed with a very tasteful fence blending in to the wood tree trunks. There is a Parisian style fountain, hot tub, back patio with comfortable attractive furniture, a small child's tree house and a trampoline hidden in the trees. The house is situated in a beautiful majestic neighborhood surrounded with panoramic views of the Wasatch Front mountain range. We have had several shoots here throughout the three years. Including video companies, advertising companies, weddings, baby showers and even prom pictures!
