About the Space

Led by two Black Transmasc photographers, Boi Toy Studios was created to provide safe, inclusive creative space to support other emerging Twin Cities-based Black, Queer, Trans and femme visual artists. We are growing and are always open to hosting space for folks visiting from out of town. Our studio offers photographers, videographers and their clients access to our 1,800 sq feet of space along with the following: • 10' color paper backdrops • backdrop stands • lighting and rig equipment • lots of natural light • extension cords • abundance of outlets • heaters / AC • private office for multipurpose usage • two 8ft. wooden worktables & multiple stools • cushioned armchairs • photo and artbook resource library • mini fridge and microwave

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:
  • Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Disposable masks / face coverings

No, I would not book again.

I made the mistake to not look at the fine print therefore I wasn’t allowed into the space. As I asked for a refund or a reschedule the host said I would be able to and then ghosted me. I will never book this space. Do not recommend
