This is a former church that is currently used as a private photo studio, as well as for private dinners, gatherings and meetings. This is an airy, intimate single room space with wooden floors, peachy stained glass windows and eclectic antique charm. There is an old piano on the stage, many plants and cozy areas for seating and/or lounging. There is also a wooden farm table that expands to seat 8-10 guests. On the lower level there is a full kitchen and bathroom. Outside there is a stone front porch with benches for relaxing and people watching , as well as a courtyard with a garden and mini orchard. The neighborhood is small town charm, just off the main street with a cute coffee shop, local bars and the best Mexican restaurant in the city. It's also a stones throw from Lake Michigan as well as Grant Park, one of the largest in the city.

Margaret is the best host! They are so accommodating and even helped me set up for the baby shower a bit, above and beyond!! The space is DREAMY and everyone at the party was raving about how cool and beautiful the studio is. Cannot recommend enough!

Lovely space to host a baby shower, everyone was in awe of the church. Margaret was easy to communicate with and answered all our questions.

The venue was very poorly lit, which made it impossible to get any good footage. Also some of the props from the photos were not there. For example the white, photography backdrop - which I was really looking forward to utilizing, was missing? The gorgeous candles pictured on the table were also not there. Disappointed because those were the main selling points for me.

A Magical Urban Sanctuary! This converted church space masterfully balances historical charm with modern functionality, creating an inspiring and intimate atmosphere. Stepping inside, you're greeted by warm wooden floors, ethereal peachy stained glass windows, and an ambiance that can't be replicated in conventional venues. During our flamenco and poetry performance hosting about 30 guests, the space proved to be wonderful acoustically. Cozy seating areas created natural conversation nooks our guests gravitated to. Margaret, our host, was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. Her attention to detail and warm personality made for a lovely experience all around.

The overall description of this site was accurate. However, it was apparent that the photos used had been photoshopped to perfection. The lighting was extremely poor (she was helpful in bringing in some table lamps to help). The biggest disappointment was the lack of cleanliness. Tables and floors were filthy and the bathroom....disgusting. Being a historic building should not lend itself to keep to holding on to 100-year-old dust and dirt. I'm sorry Margaret, you are a wonderful and helpful person, but you should fully disclose the condition and the best uses of your building. It definitely was not conducive to hosting a business meeting. In its present condition, very non-hygienic. Had we had time to relocate elsewhere, we would have. I believe a partial reimbursement is in order.
