Welcome to our home. It's is a wonderful space for photo/video productions, featuring original 1928 design details peppered with vintage & modern decor. As a stylist myself, I've made the most of light and creative styling throughout most every room, and I'd be happy to answer questions about how the sun hits. Our home has been featured on Domino and on two episodes of Magnolia Network's series "Rooms We Love." Downstairs: - Living room (24'x16') with lofted ceiling, featuring an original fireplace (wood burning) with 5'-tall mantel, an original stained-glass window, original brass sconces, a built-in reading nook, a balcony to the upstairs hallway and arched doorways. A leather sofa, corded settee and vintage Arkana safari chair anchor the seating area, surrounded by new & vintage seating and decor. East, north & west windows. May need supplemental lighting depending the time of day. - Dining room features a 10-person walnut dining table, 10-15 healthy houseplants, a caned sideboard and modern art, including an oversized original painting by Christine Cover. Gets great light from east & south windows. - Kitchen features open wood shelving, glossy black granite countertops, white cabinets and matte carrera marble tile floors. A breakfast nook is one of our favorite spots in the room, made up of a wooden pew, marble cafe table and school-style chairs. A black and stone fireplace (gas) can be propped to look like it's not in a kitchen. A small powder bath with original fixtures features a living wall. - Office (not pictured) is a small space that includes a sofa, TV, colorful gallery wall and built-in desk & shelves. Shelves can be cleared and repropped as needed. - Back patio (not pictured) includes a hot tub, fire pit, chiminea, sofa and two lounge chairs. Upstairs: - Hallway overlooks living room and includes a statement chair and oversized commissioned art piece. - Primary bath features a black double-sink vanity with white marble counter and backsplash, with matte gold wall-mounted faucets. Marble hex tile on floor and vertical subway tile in shower. Slanted eaves, original leaded-glass window (east-facing, gets morning light) and black trim make the space unique. May need supplemental lighting depending the time of day. - Primary bedroom includes a king-size midcentury bed frame set against windows covered in white linen curtains. Two simple beside tables, one wall-mount double sconce and one vintage task lamp. Gets great light from east & south windows. - Nursery features one warm-grey limewashed wall, crib, midcentury rocker, Persian rug, daybed and two custom shelves. An updated fireplace (gas) is the highlight of the room, getting great light from the adjacent south-facing window, and can be propped in any way you can imagine. Room is large enough to rearrange furniture as needed. - Third bedroom is inhabited by a maximalist tween but can be rearranged/re-propped for narrow shots. White linen curtains on south and west windows. Note: Photos of the space include first a home tour, followed by production images photographed throughout the home.
