I wanted to share my honest feedback regarding our recent experience. We invested a significant amount of money in this event, expecting to welcome attendees from around the world. Unfortunately, due to the power outage caused by the hurricane in Houston, we encountered several last-minute challenges. We only found out the facility we had rented was without power when we called the night before to confirm that everything was set, given the widespread outage in the area. To our surprise, we were informed that we would need to pay an additional $300 for a generator. This caught us off guard, as we had not been notified earlier. Had we not taken the initiative to call, we might have faced even more significant issues. I understand that the storm was beyond anyone’s control, but the lack of communication left us feeling frustrated and unprepared. We had no clear direction on what to do next when we learned that the facility had no power. Fortunately, at around 6 AM, Chyna was able to provide a second option—a church—which was a relief given the circumstances. The church was a suitable alternative, and I appreciated having that option, especially with the last-minute changes we had to coordinate. However, the overall process was exhausting and felt unprofessional at times. It seemed as though the priority was to charge us additional fees rather than accommodate customers who had invested thousands in this event.
