The Mermaid House

About the Space The Mermaid House is located at the Onset Beach Compound Resort, less than a 10-minute walk away from historic downtown Onset. The Mermaid sleeps 8 comfortably, with a master bedroom, a loft, and a pull-out bed. All outdoor areas are shared on the resort, including our private hot tub, beach, kayaks, boats, EBikes, and many more all-inclusive amenities to create the best Cape Cod getaway experience for our guests. Living Space The Mermaid’s living area consists of a home theater and “mess hall”. A large dining area that can seat up to 12 people for a business meeting, or family nights and celebrations. The entire living space features floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean, where you can enjoy the beautiful views and watch the boaters. The theater has a large and comfortable couch and an oversized bean bag that feels like you are lounging on a cloud while relaxing with your friends and family. The living space leads directly to a private outdoor deck, which includes a full outdoor kitchenette with a grill, as well as a sofa and outdoor TV. This deck is exclusive to guests staying in the Mermaid. Kitchen & Bathroom The Mermaid’s updated kitchen features a large refrigerator, garbage disposal and dishwasher, as well as plenty of counter space for cooking and preparing meals. Also equipped with a stove, microwave, full cooking and eatery sets, a Keurig, and a coffee maker, this kitchen is ready for any occasion. The kitchen is always stocked with popcorn for a movie night in, and s’mores ingredients for a fire by the beach. The bathroom is fully functional with a shower and half tub, and stocked with suntan lotion, bug spray, shampoo and conditioner, and any other bathroom necessities you may need during your stay. About the Sea Deck & Mermaid’s Tavern The sea deck is a private outdoor living space with a sectional sofa and bean bags surrounding a propane fire pit. The space features a 60” TV and Origin Acoustics surround sound across the entire deck, delivering an outstanding outdoor movie viewing experience right on the ocean. The deck also serves as a kitchenette, which we call the Mermaid’s Tavern. The tavern includes a 5 burner grill, a commercial grade stand alone hot top griddle, and a fridge. The space also features a two stool bar with a hot water sink and a liquor cabinet and serving station. Enjoy your homemade cocktails with a perfect view right outside the house. Electrical plugs are handy for easy use of blenders, beer coolers, crockpots, or liquor dispensing machines, which are all available by request. Like everywhere else in the house you will find SONOS connectivity delivering seamless sound throughout the entire venue. Wi-Fi & Entertainment Very fast and reliable Wi-Fi is available in the house as well as throughout the entire resort. Streaming services are available on TV’s. Wi-Fi password will be provided upon arrival. Parking/Arrival All doors on the property are locked with a key code entry. Code is changed after every stay. On-site parking is available for 2 vehicles per house. There is a private driveway located directly next to the Mermaid. If your party has more than 2 vehicles, ask your host for nearby parking options. Outdoor grounds are protected and monitored by security cameras 24/7.
