The Landmark Home
An architectural gem of steel, stone and brick dating back to 1927, this Tudor-style mansion covers some 7,000 square feet of stone arches, timber carvings, and Pewabic tile with 95 percent of the home remaining original — featuring slate roof tiles, copper gutters, limestone surrounded steel-casement windows, the red oak wide-plank and peg placed wood floors, and the original 1920s door hardware marked Yale New York.
The Great Hall
The Great Hall presents in the Tudor style with soaring 28-foot plaster ceilings along with exposed timber beams. Original red oak, wide plank wood floors are fully restored. The Maria Theresa Crystal Chandelier hangs along with gothic designed sconces flanking the French pedestals circa 1890. The limestone stacked windows are aligned to provide stunning floor to ceiling views of the Donald Ross designed golf course while descending the Grand Staircase.
The Drawing Room
The French Rococo style, gold leaf six-light sconces provide a supporting cast to the carved mahogany fireplace mantel complete with the faces of women leaders embedded within the moldings and the family crest behind the logs. The original windows, plaster walls and floral crown moldings are supported by the beauty of Benjamin Moore’s Hawthorne Yellow.
The Library
With the French sofa styled in blue velvet, the room includes the perfect space for a smoking lounge-vibe warming by the fire. From standard bookshelf shots to interviews apt a comfy green room for your talent to await the next scene. A music box sets the moment playing for favorite hits.
The Dining Room
Hosting dinner parties for generations, the 12 seat table is set with iconic bone china purchased in the early 1900s as part of the Palace Collection. The room is held by marble brought in from both Italy and Spain.
