About the Space
Small but mighty and affordable all white minimal studio perfect for small rehearsals in the heart of Dundas West! 10 foot ceilings, bathroom for wardrobe changes, LED lights that can change to any colour you like. You can open the back door for some natural light to come in (this whole wall will be swapped out for a large window in the future) Tables, lighting equip, projector and chairs available, just ask! - Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
- Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
- Capacity is limited based on governmental guidelines
- Space has access to outdoor air ventilation

We recently used this studio, and while it had potential, there were several challenges that impacted our experience. First, the studio was not adequately heated and felt colder than outside, which was around -15°C. This made it uncomfortable to work in those conditions. Additionally, accessing the studio took longer than expected. The video instructions provided showed a different lockbox, which caused a 20-minute delay. Kelsi kindly allowed us to go over by 10 minutes to compensate for the lost time, but we did have to remind her about the situation. Once inside, we noticed that the cables weren’t clearly labelled for their respective devices, and the light setup felt somewhat disorganised. As someone who has worked in many studios, I found the absence of an on-site assistant noticeable. This was the first time I felt that a verbal walkthrough before the session would have been beneficial to go over entry and setup procedures. On top of these issues, I felt the value for money was not great. The advertised cost was CA$98 for two hours, but I ended up being charged CA$140, and I’m still unsure what the extra CA$52 was for. My profile shows CA$115 for the space rental plus a CA$25.99 processing fee, which felt steep considering the challenges we faced during the session. On the positive side, Kelsi was responsive and accommodating once we addressed the issues, which we appreciated. However, improvements in clarity of instructions, and heating would go a long way.
