This Dutch African home was designed and built by the Grandaughter of the Carrier air-conditioning owner/inventor. The home is set up to mimic a Bedouin Sheik's home. There is a large entry way, and beyond, an Oasis (a beautiful indoor plunge pool). To the right, an exotic atrium living room surrounded by 12 stone pillars. A Hookah Lounge is just off the living room which makes one feel as though they are inside a velvet, jewel toned, genie bottle. The floors throughout the entry, living room and bedrooms are poured concrete and are stained to add drama to each space. Boarders around the floor are created with copper and brick, which adds depth and richness to the rooms. The Kitchen is a large rectangular, room, flooded with natural light. It is perfect for prepping meals and entertaining. There are copper counters throughout and a stunning copper range hood. The double sinks and double dish washers are very convenient. The kitchen has some of the best views of the river and of the 100 year old oaks dripping with Spanish Moss that grace the backyard. There is a Wolf, 6 burner stove top, convection oven, microwave and stainless refrigerator. The master bedroom has dramatic stained floors. A rich caramel and dark brown with hints of gold swirl throughout the suite. The ensuite bathroom is extra large and luxurious. There is a decadent, standalone tub with a crystal chandelier, poised above it. The sumptuous vibe is finished with an oversized gold mirror which frames the tub and lush, green, tropical ferns. The dining room is styled with Colonial British-Indian furniture. It has an antique round table that seats 12, an Afghan rug, mother of pearl inlaid wooden chairs and an antique chandelier made of wood and steel, entitled, "To Market, To Market". The backyard and stone, patio with garden beds are beautiful to stroll through. There is a grand, curved wooden staircase that leads down to the marsh, which makes for a dramatic entrance for brides!
