About the Space

The Curio Cabinet is a moody space, full of treasures and set vignettes that provide stunning, curious, and intriguingly weird (!) backdrops and scenes for photo shoots. Full of antiques and oddities, this corner loft looks upon the Brooklyn Bridge and East River waterfront. The facility can be rented for photo shoots and for private dinners up to 20. Sorry film makers!...this space is not available for film shoots. The Curio Cabinet offers the following vignettes and sets: ⚫️ Original "car-bar" made from the front end of an antique Edsel car ⚫️ Baby grand piano ⚫️ Large wood slab dining table with antique drill press legs ⚫️ Boudoir scene with unique bed headboard made from Japanese architectural salvage from the 1800's ⚫️ Antique French boudoir vanity ⚫️ Brown leather tufted clubhouse sofa ⚫️ Large plants ⚫️ Botanical themed kitchen with vintage SMEG refrigerator ⚫️ Clawfoot bathtub ⚫️ Antique trunks ⚫️ Taxidermy ⚫️Antique books ⚫️ Treasures from around the world For photo shoots: Sunset Golden Hour gives amber warmth to the max! via the southern windows. Bright morning sunlight through the eastern windows from 7am-11:30am. Windows can be covered to control light.

Enhanced cleaning measures:
  • The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
  • High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
  • Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
  • A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
  • Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning
All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
  • Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
  • Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
  • Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
The following equipment is provided for every guest:

  • Disinfecting wipes or spray and paper towels
