Everything as expected. The place was clean, organized. We had a problem with the ac but Xavier was very attentive and work to find a solution.

I stayed because my client drove 2 hrs to get here. I ended this session early anyway. I prefer not to leave bad reviews, yet until now, I haven't had any real bad experiences. Xavier should have canceled my booking. I can only assume that the overwhelming amount of rain we've been having has caused some issues in the space. When I arrived at the studio, Xavier had some electricians working in the space to correct some things. - He spoke nothing about this to me. I expected to have privacy for my client and myself as that is partly why I rent spaces. - The electricians were there the entire time. While the electricians were very professional and accommodating, their work could not go unnoticed or unheard. - it was loud. There was no heat so it was extremely cold in this space. Xavier was using a blower to dry the floor( again I assume it was due to flooding from all of the rain.) - That blower was the heater for the day. It blew cold air the entire time. - The tables where we could place our stuff were still wet with mini puddles of water. - The backdrop was dirty. That's okay, I brought my own and set it up. - Due to the flooding (again, I assume. Xavier gave me no heads up, no insight, no info on the electricians or why they were there while I had the studio booked) many of the plugs did not work. Due to this, I could not use any of the lighting setups my client was looking for in their images. I was given no heads-up, no notice, no information on this. I lugged my gear in there unnecessarily. I could not use my lights. - During this shoot, the electricians had to unplug everything including the heat and the one outlet we could use so that they could continue their electrical work. Thus, any equipment we were able to use we no longer could yet again. - I was given no tour of the space, no info on the bathroom, changing room, etc.. All in all, this was just a crapshoot of a situation. - If Xavier was having these issues, whether they be an emergency or not, He should have reached out to me to Explain AND Cancel or at least given me the option of Canceling the booked studio time. Allowing me to make an informed decision about whether to continue to shoot here, reschedule it for a later date, or choose a different studio altogether. I completely understand that things happen, they may be unexpected and obviously unintended. However, this does not excuse the clear and blatant lack of communication. These were conditions I would not ever like to subject a model or my clients to. They weren't the absolute worst conditions in the world, yet they were far from passible to even the barest of minimum standards for a supposed professional space or studio. Aside from these glaring issues, the studio was rather clean. When all is said and done I'm sure will be a nice space to be in again. Beyond that, you would expect some measure of privacy for your studio time when you book with that studio. I wasn't even informed the electricians would be around for the entire shoot. Making it more uncomfortable for my client, and myself as I do my utmost to ensure the comfortability of my clients. The electricians were professional. This is not against them, as they had a job to do and a time frame to do it. As I have said at the beginning, however, Xavier, having all of this knowledge well before I arrived at his space, should have reached out to me and given me the option of canceling with a full refund. I did take some images of the space and should have taken more. My client stuck it out for a while. We stopped working at about 4:30 pm, packed up, and left by 4:50 pm. I sent a message to Xavier at 4:54 pm, confirming that I was leaving early.
