About the Space

Welcome to our Natural Light Studio with Lake Views! This is a rental studio, perfect for photography, videography, and other content creators. We have a light and airy set, as well as a dark & moody set. We also have a motorized backdrop system with a variety of colors available. In addition to these common areas, we have a hair/makeup area in the back, as well as a restroom and water fountains. By far, the most unique feature is the incredible amount of natural light in the space. It is surrounded by large windows on three walls, which offer ample lighting and lake views. Also, since we're located on the second floor, there's a bit more privacy. PLEASE NOTE: Weekday and Weekend rates are different. If you see a difference in the hourly rate between the search results and your booking, this is why.

Lighting description

We have large windows with sheer curtains. We also have blackout curtains near the backdrop system to provide a bit more privacy. Great beams of light show on the floor and walls throughout the day, making for inspiring photography. Daylight hours are the brightest. We also have overhead lighting throughout the space, and two Godox SL60IIBi Continuous Lights with Softboxes. For more lighting options, two Godox TL60 RGB Tube Lights are available as an add-on.

Space is not soundproof

Ambient noise description

You will rarely hear neighbors or outside noise. On occassion you may hear a car drive by in the parking lot. However, we are on the second floor of the building so noise levels are quite low overall. If you have the overhead fans on, ambient noise will be louder. There is a remote that controls the fans, and you can adjust their speed or turn them off as needed.

The circuit breaker is located near the hair and makeup area. There are ample outlets throughout the space.

General Rules

Your booking starts at the time of your reservation. Please book enough time to cover all your needs, including setup, shooting, and cleanup. Glitter, smoke bombs, smoking, sparklers, and open flames are NOT allowed on premises. If you're unsure if something is allowed, ask us before bringing it in. AC may be set to 72* during your rental. When leaving, please raise temp back to 78*. (There are two separate thermostats, so be sure to check both.) * For the safety of you and your clients, the studio is equipped with video surveillance in the common area. We also use this technology to verify start and end times of rentals.

All ages are allowed in the space

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Furniture and wall decorations may be moved during rentals, but may never leave the premises. Also, when finished, guests must return all items to their original locations.

No smoke machines allowed

We have a Ring video camera by the front door that oversees the common area. This is for your protection, as well as ours.

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

We do basic cleaning of the studio in between bookings, but guests are also required to respect the space and leave it as they found it. For deeper cleans, we hire Molly Maids, who are conveniently located next door.

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
