Hello, this is a great space for creative events like weddings, memorials, unions, birthdays, workshops, small retreats, catering, music, projected film, forest activities and more. This lodge like home is spacious and inspiring, surrounded by ancient Alligator Juniper trees, situated in the east mountains of Albuquerque with an open view of the Ortiz Mountains and South Mountain to the east. It was built for an opera singer around 1920, the loft she used to sing from remains. The Rock House (named by UNM students who used to sneak in and party in the 40s and 50s) is full of old charm, history and is an ideal spot for intimate events. There are 3 bathrooms, five bedrooms, huge living room, two fireplaces and a large dining room with an open kitchen. The center of the house has a vast room with 19' high ceilings and two massive arched windows that allow you to see through the house to the mountains beyond. The big room shares the view of the mountains with a 1000 sq. ft. deck just outside it. Indoor seating: 12 chairs 2 couches A loveseat Outdoor seating: 2 long table benches on covered porch 8+ outdoor chairs 2 sun chairs The loft in the big room is off limits unless agreed on. Though there is the option to hang a big white canvas curtain and project onto it. Outside next to the house there is a separate studio space with 12' ceilings and roughly 20' x 20' floor space, including long desks and skylights and window. A futon and a big white wall for photoshoots.
