The Legacy Building is designed to inspire and support you. Come visit us and see what we have to offer! Neighborhood details: The Legacy Building is at the corner of 46th and Minnehaha Ave in the Longfellow neighborhood. Home to an eclectic mix of parks including Minnehaha Falls, Wabun Picnic Area and Hiawatha Park. Locally owned restaurants including PK Cafe located right next door, Parkway Pizza and Sea Salt a few blocks away. Plus Walgreens, Cub Foods and Falls Liquor all within walking distance. Giving you a taste of iconic south Minneapolis without being in the chaos of the bustling sky scrappers and busy streets. Transportation Options: City Bus: 9, 7, 46 METRO Blue Line .03 miles (about 4 blocks) Our Space: The Legacy Building is Black-owned and operated by a husband and wife team. We opened our doors in June of 2022. Our multi-use, multi-level creative space is designed for creators of all kinds. Our space is an inclusive, vibrant, and authentic environment that fosters creativity and provides everything you need to bring your ideas to life. We are creators and artists ourselves. The Legacy Building was birthed out of our own necessity to create. The layout of our space is divided into five distinct areas: Gallery, Creative Studio, Recording Studio, Rehearsal Room, and natural Light Studio/Storefront. The space, as a whole, is ideal for events, both intimate and large-scale, however each space is unique and can be used for a variety of activities. Our Gallery is perfect for exhibitions and showcases, while our Creative Studio is a versatile space that can be used for anything from film screenings to live music performances our Rehearsal Room is perfect for bands and theater groups. Finally, our Natural Light Studio/Storefront is a flexible space that can be used for pop-up shops, poetry readings, coffee & conversations and more. One of our unique features is our Vibe Magazine wall, which showcases iconic covers from the legendary hip-hop publication. In the lower level you'll find our free play arcade and the Cloud Room. Another standout feature, offering a cozy and intimate space for meditations, brainstorming sessions, or just relaxation. In addition to these unique features, we also offer a variety of amenities to help you bring your creative vision to life. The building is fitted with Govee lighting system throughout, allowing you to control the lighting color and brightness. - High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
- Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed
- A licensed professional cleaner is hired between bookings
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

We had another host cancel on our video production and Sarah and Emmanuel were able to accommodate us on very short notice. They were extremely kind, hospitable and responsive. The space itself was even better in person and had a variety of options and configurations for us to use. I'll definitely be booking again in the future. Thanks again for helping us out Sarah and Emmanuel.

Owners great to communicate and accommodating. Space was perfect for my husbands 50th Bday party. Everyone loved it. And initially I was concerned about parking but it really worked out great for all of our guest. Would definitely utilize this space again.

This space exceeded our expectations. Our 50 + guests had lots of room to eat, drink and dance in comfort. The decor was as their name states, bold and vibrant. It lent itself to the perfect party atmosphere. We had everything we needed to have a great gathering of friends. Would highly recommend.

I loved this space. I used it for audio recording, although it was shockingly versatile. It has a really nice vibe going on and oozes creative space for a number of disciplines. The owners were great too. I will be renting it again when i come back to do more media work

Great Space the owners met us there to let us in and walk around and show us around…it has everything you need as far as lighting and different scenery….definitely will recommend to others.

We had an amazing experience with our hosts! They were very accommodating and a joy to organize our wedding with :) They were very responsive, and offered tons of helpful amenities. We loved having multiple rooms so that the reception party could focus on both painting and dancing without either group interfering with the other's night. There was plenty of space to serve food and drinks and our guests loved the dance floor. The art is wonderful, and we greatly appreciated all the intention out info cultivating such a lovely atmosphere. Our wedding was also a trans community event, and we valued our guests feeling welcomed and safe. Our hosts absolutely provided that space :) Much love from the newly weds!!
