It can be dangerous to light outdoor fires in Nevada County given the wildfire risks. You need to obtain a campfire permit and let me know when you plan to light an outdoor fire so we can be aware of when the risks are present to neighbors. In order to get the campfire permit, please visit CalFIRE's website and search "campfire permit." This will require that you watch a video and take a quiz, as well as register your name and contact information. PET RULES: We welcome certain pets in certain circumstances. 1 to 2 dogs or cats will be allowed on a case-by-case basis based on animal size and breed. An additional $99 fee will be required per pet animal once approved. If approved, pets are permitted only on the exterior of the home but not inside the home -this includes pet access to the comfortable furnished porches. A large kennel will be made available once approved and access to a fenced dog area for roaming and bathroom. The entire outdoor space (5 acres) can be used by pets, including the enclosed upper level wrap-around porch (furnished with patio furniture and rugs, tables, seating areas) as well as the (unenclosed) lower level wrap-around porch (also furnished but without rugs). Guests are to report any bathroom accidents within the enclosed upper-level porch for specific attention on clean up. Animals are not allowed inside the home at any time. For days of extreme cold or hot temperatures, indoor space in the climate-controlled laundry room and laundry bathroom can be made available (pet-proof tile). This is the only interior space that could be made permissible for pets in addition to the enclosed patio space and all outdoor spaces. Prior damage to furniture and flooring prompted this hybridized pet policy. EVENTS: VRBO policy allows select events with host discretion. Written permission from the property owner and written privacy waiver allowing for in-person supervision by the owner, host, or designated surrogate, when requested, is require for any proposed event at Belladeux. Small "by invitation only" events proposed by guests may be considered but must be cleared by the host in advance of any stay and be coordinated through the host to ensure impact to neighbors, noise, road use, and light pollution are known and managed. Cost of overnight accommodations for guests who desire to host a private event may adjust accordingly for space maintenance, liability, and cleaning. If the event is outdoors, no fee or other financial consideration is nor can be charged to any event guest nor to any proposed event vendor, sponsor, promoter or attendee for participation in and/or admission to the gathering, use of the property or facility (or any portion thereof), or the sale of food, goods or services sold to attendees at or in connection with said event. Should a guest desire to do so, at least 90 day notice and additional fees will be required to obtain an Outdoor Event permit as required by Nevada County ordinance 2482 Chapter 2 Article V. Interested guests should inquire further. REGULATION: Nevada County Transient Occupancy Tax Certificate number STR22-00060. Certificate posted in view of guests as required by law.
