Unique, Civil War-era farmhouse on seven (mostly) wooded acres in rural Pittsboro, NC. Recently updated as of 2022, but done so to preserve the original charm of the home and surroundings. This home is decorated with a mix of antique and vintage furnishings and ephemera meant to evoke a bygone era. Completing the mood is the wildly-kept, three-season pollinator/flower garden that surrounds the house. We also have installed a pair of side-by-side outdoor bathtubs on a platform, which serves as a quirky point of interest. Our home is an ideal spot for still photo shoots, video filming - any content that is well served by an old-timey backdrop. We have successfully hosted fashion shoots, podcast tapings, local small fundraisers/events, etc. We can accommodate small, sedate events of up to 30 people on the patio (using your own rented tables/linens/chairs, etc). We do not allow tents to be installed on the grounds, and the house cannot accommodate more than 10 inside for sit-down meals. Parking, septic use, and potential noise disturbance for our nearby neighbors are our primary limitations, so let's discuss your needs before booking. While our kitchen is well-equipped for small group use, it is not meant to be used as a caterer's main food prep space for larger events. 1,700 sq ft of indoor space. 3.5 bedroom, 1.5 bath.
